The Sith Order or the Renewed Sith as known to the Jedi, was an organisation created by Darth Tomus to better serve the Sith cause by making sure they didn't kill each other with peaty power plays. Formed in 2,977 BBY, Darth Tomus reformed the previous Sith system in place due to many patterns in history of self-destruction through civil wars.

History the Sith Order[]

The Sith were weak we killed each other for scraps of power and pounded our chests to prove ourselves, our own vanity and lust for power lead the Sith to numerous crushing defeats. I created the Sith Order so that the mistakes of the past never haunt the Sith again. This Order I created will last millennia and will last longer than the Jedi order. Be thankful that this Order exisit for if it didn’t we wouldn’t be speaking.
Darth Tomus addressing new Sith Apprentices.

Forming the Order[]

With these Rules and Codes, we the Sith shall never fall again, ever.
Darth Tomus.

The Order was formed on Dromund Kaas in 2,977 BBY after the end of the Remnant Sith Civil War. Tomus formed the Order with the remnants of Darth Wraiths Sith Council and his own Sith Forces, Tomus created the Rule of Sith and the New Sith Code for the Order to follow, Tomus enforced the Rules and the Codes harshly until it was fully accepted by nearly all Sith. The Sith began to stay true to the new rules and the code in 2,975 BBY. The Sith Council was filled with members loyal to Tomus, they insured that the Sith stayed true to the new Code and Rules. The Sith Council decided who would become Sith Lords and Darths to insure that no power hungry Sith make it into the higher ranks.

Interactions with the Sith Empire[]

The Empire, Tomus created it to fight the Republic, we do not rule it we protect it and influence it. Sith can gain seats in Parliament and advises politicians.
Darth Vox, describing the Empire.

When Tomus began building up his Empire, he made sure that the Sith stay out of the politics so they did have access to the resources and use them to fight other Sith. Tomus instead allowed them to interact and protect Parliament members. Eventually the Empire grew and Tomus need to influence each individual Parliament member so he assigned loyal Sith to advice Parliament members. With this the Sith had some influence over the Imperial Government though not much. The Sith Council oversaw which members would be assigned to a member of Parliament to insure non of them would mislead the Parliament member or abuse their new found power.

The Sith also fought alongside the Imperial Military in battles, in war time Sith Lords became Sith Generals and lead Imperial Troopers into battle. This allowed Sith to compete with each other, other than killing each other, by employing a modified version of a Kaggath.

Imperial War[]

The War allowed us to fight an enemy we longed to fight and vent our power on them, it was glorious.
—Darth Vox.

The Sith Order participated in the Imperial War and combated the Jedi alongside their Republic troops. Many Sith Lords rose to power during this conflict and some became members on the Sith Council. The Sith were trained in Jedi Lightsaber techniques to successful battle against them, Tomus himself trained many Sith in a unique Lightsaber style with allowed lower Sith to fight on par with a Jedi Knight.

Imperial Rule[]

Our enemies are defeated we rule the galaxy, but there is still much to do, Tomus is still Sith and the Empire needs the Sith to guard it—I realize now that we have taking up the Jedi’s position but we will be doing things rather differently.
—Darth Vox.

With the galaxy conquered by the Sith Empire, problems arose manly due to manpower issues. Policing the galaxy straned the Empire’s resources and the Forge was used to produce raw material to repair worlds ravaged by war. The Sith Order weakened by the war began to rebuild slowly, they isolated themselves to nurse their wounded order. Recruitment drives began the Sith took anyone with any Force sensitivity, many Imperial civilians believed that the Sith should die out. The Imperial Riots began and the ones who began the riot targeted Sith due to their recruitment drives causing tensions with the Imperial civilians.

The Sith Order knew that the riots were organized by a then unknown power. The Emperor used the Sith Inquisition and Imperial Intelligence Agency to discover who the traitor was. The traitor was a Sith pureblood traditionalist who believe the Sith should rule the galaxy and not sit on the side lines. The Sith Order dealt with him swiftly but he was not alone and a hunt began to find his supporters.

Korriban Uprising[]

The Korriban Uprising was instigated by the Emperor’s apprentice, Kelrna, she had instructed Sith Lord, Harmonious, to gather acolytes strong enough to fight and use them to start a riot. Backed by several gangs and renegade clone solders, the acolytes took the Korriban Academy and held numerous relics, tablets and holocrons hostage threatening to destroy them unless the Emperor turned control over the Empire to the Sith Order. The Sith High Council rejected this and the Emperor ordered and assault on the holy tomb world to capture the acolytes.

The mismatched acolytes were no match for Imperial Clone Troopers and Sith Lords and quickly regained control of Korriban. Kelrna arrived on the Emperor’s orders to kill Harmonious, at the time he didn’t know she instigated the uprising, Kelrna disposed of her ally though the act was sensed by Tomus and the Sith Order.

The uprising was kept from the public’s attention; Tomus feared that the incident might weaken the already weak order. Months after the uprising a surge of Force sensitive children were discovered and quickly taken for training.

Post Tomus[]

We shall remember the First Emperor. The one who forged this Order from the ashes of the old Order. The one who brought use victory and salvation for the Sith race. He will be remembered as the ultimate master.
—A Sith Lord reciting the First Emperor chant in 2,800 BBY.

During it’s forming, Darth Tomus populated the Dark Council with members loyal to him. During the forming of his Empire he began to test each individual member on their skills and knowledge of the Dark Side of the Force. Tomus appointed himself Grand Master of the Dark Council and he watched over the decision making within the Council. The Council duties were to preserve Sith knowledge and safeguard it, they also decided who would become a Sith Lord or Darth, on rare occasions they would even assign Sith with an apprentice. All members on the Dark Council are Darth’s, and a prerequisite to become a member is to attain a rank of Darth and be recommended by at least four Council members. Another way to gain a seat on the Council is to be handpicked by Darth Tomus himself.

The Council is responsible for overseeing the training of potential Sith Apprentices too make sure that they are not killed too early by plotting Sith Lords, in addition to direct oversight of satellite training academies and libraries.

As the Sith were instructed in the new ways of the new Order they follow a new ranking system of how they progress.

  • Sith Acolyte– The lowest rank of the Order, these Force-sensitive were given the rank of Initiate when they began their training. Recruited or taken from worlds throughout the galaxy where blood testing was required to see if they had any potential, Initiates were removed from their families (if young) and brought to a Sith academy for formal training. The training that a Sith Initiate is difficult and sometimes life treating.
  • Sith Apprentice– After being selected for individual tutelage under a single Sith Lord or Darth, Initiates were given the title of Sith Apprentice. Training under a Sith Lord or Darth varies from each individual member but Sith Apprentices are at times pitted against other Apprentices to test their skills. A Sith Lord could confer the title of Sith Lord on their Apprentice and, after confirmation from the Sith High Council can take on an Apprentice of their own.
  • Sith Lord– A title that was conferred on a powerful master of Sith knowledge of the dark side. A Sith Lord could confer this title on his/her apprentice, if he/she felt the Apprentice was ready. A Sith Lord was able to access more knowledge from the Sith Archives to gain more power and knowledge. A Sith Lord can only become a Darth once he/she has proven themselves worthy in the eyes of a Darth, he/she is then presented to the Sith High Council, who issue a series of test to see if they were worthy of the title Darth.
  • Darth – A title given to certain Sith Lords which preceded either their chosen Sith name, or, in some cases, their birth name. A title that can only bestowed by members of the Sith Council.
