Sith Landing was the name of the site at which the Derriphan-class battleship Koshottoi carrying the Kûskûshnwûlanjattsisottoikut came to rest after being disabled by the Monolith's energy-resistant ray shields. Crashing to the planet Mure's southern hemispheric supercontinent of Lower Mure, the Koshottoi landed in a clearing surrounded by Montane forests and snow-covered mountains. It was here that the Sith-blooded refugees aboard the vessel built their first small villages to house their numbers while attempting repairs on their vessel.

Following their discovery by the planet's native population of Rakata, a brief battle between five hundred Sith and four thousand Rakata occurred roughly a mile north of the wreck of the Koshottoi. Following the start of the Sith-Rakata War, the bulk of the Kûskûshnwûlanjattsisottoikut armed forces departed Sith Landing to lay siege to the Rakata city-states on the equator, leaving behind a token force of younger Sith men-at-arms and Zuguruk mechanics to protect and repair the Koshottoi.

In the years following the establishment of the joint Sith-Rakata Second Predorate, the Koshottoi was repaired and restored. Following its removal from the area, Sith Landing was declared a protected heritage site, and the ruins of the first Sith villages became the focal point of Murese tourism in the area. In later years, the tradition of returning and landing the Koshottoi—subsequently designated the ceremonial flagship of the Second Predorate navy—in its temporary resting place at Sith Landing became a noteworthy part of anniversary celebrations of the Sith arrival on Mure.
