Sith Imperial Army

The Sith Imperial Army, most commonly known as just the Imperial Army was a branch of the Imperial Armed Forces that concentrated on ground-side assault and planetary conquest. The main soldiers used by the Sith Imperial Army were the Dark Troopers who were taken from the stormtroopers, ancient Sith Troopers and Mandalorians. The Army utilized a variety of weapons, equiptment, and vehicles to support the infantry. A majority of the Army unit were Dark Troopers, although you could find other soldier types on the battlefields. The Army worked together and in conjunction with the Imperial Navy to become one of the galaxy's most powerful military units. The Army was the primary branch to conquer planets for the Empire.

Combat, Command, and Support[]

Like the predecesor of the Empire, Palpatine's Empire, the Imperial Army made a strong distinction between certain elements. The "support elements" were kept seperate from the "combat elementd" and the "command elements". A commanding Imperial officer in the army was considered as a part of the "command elements" and not with the troops. A Dark Troopers and an Imperial Army Trooper, no matter what the rank, was in the "combat element".

Augmentation[]

The Imperial Army was rather large with close to 2 million men per sector. Augmentation in the Empire was intended to create larger formation of troops without the need for superior Imperial Commanding officers or of Sith assistance. It was created as well so if the Imperial forces were too small and didvided into many seperate groups, they could join together creating a much larger force without the need for reinforcements.

Sith Involvement[]

The Sith also had a part within the Imperial Army and were conidered just as important as the troops and Imperials in the Army. Those Sith who chose to join the Imperial Army would be given a special military rank that was made just for Sith. The Sith were mostly seen as the highest leaders in the Army and led most squadron of troops in battle. Although there were only a limited number of Sith in the Army, they were seen as the strongest of Army personel. Mostly, there was only seen a max of 4 Sith within one battle on one planet. All Imperials and troopers were to obay the Sith and what they ordered. Because of this, many Imperials complained to the the Emperor and were silenced instantly. During wartime, there would be more Sith involvment but due to the limited number of Army Sith, they would see limited action. During wars or important battles, any Sith from any Order would join in with the troopers and Imperials in battle.
