The Shadowhunter was a Cavalier-class starcruiser manufactured by Sienar Fleet Systems during the reign of the Galactic Empire as a concept for a potential alternative to the various TIE models that ruled the Imperial Fleet. However, it was ultimately rejected and as a result only a small number of the ships were made, becoming a priceless collector’s item by around 5 ABY. Also by this time, former Shadow Trooper-turned-freelance bounty hunter KE-111 came into possession of one of these ships, naming it the Shadowhunter, partially based on himself.

The Cavalier-class of spacecraft was a concept ranking manufactured by Sienar Fleet Systems since at least 5 ABY, and at most 19 BBY. They were created for the Galactic Empire as an alternative to TIE Fighters, but were scrapped and as a result only a small amount were made, with the class of ship becoming a collector's item. The Shadowhunter was one of these ships.
