Rise of the Empire era

Shaala Doneeta was the daughter of Has Doneeta, the owner of Ryloth Ventures. She had little interest in her fathers' business and became a supporter of Count Dooku, much to the dismay of her father. She fled Ryloth during the Separatist Crisis. She would later become an aide to Count Dooku during the Clone Wars, who was impressed by her political skills. She accompanied Dooku during many official events during his time as leader of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. It was rumoured she could become the future leader of the Separatists if Dooku would pass away, giving her the unofficial title as 'Crown Princess of the Confederacy'.

Biography[]

Early life and the Separatist crisis[]

Shaala Doneeta was born in 52 BBY on the Outer Rim world of Ryloth, the homeplanet of the Twi'Leks. She was born into the powerful and rich Doneeta family. Her father, Has Doneeta, was the head of Ryloth Ventures. From a young age Has educated Shaala and her younger sister, Tuulaa Doneeta, on the ways of business. However both Tuulaa and Shaala showed little interest in the business practices of their father. Tuulaa rather used her time to travel around the galaxy, staying at the many estates owned by the Doneeta family and spending her fathers' wealth on the most expensive stores. Shaala enrolled at the University of Byblos on the planet Byblos to study political science in 26 BBY. It was during her study that former Jedi Master Dooku broadcasted the Raxus Address, announcing a Confederacy of Independent Systems.

Inspired by Dooku's speech, she joined a local Separatist cause and funded their activities through the wealth of her father. She proved herself a gifted speaker and managed to enflame Separatists groups on Byblos and nearby systems. Though she was unsuccesful in persuading Byblos to secede from the Republic, her talent was noticed by the Separatists leaders. In 23 BBY she met Dooku during one of his rallies on Renillis VI, entering his inner circle.

The Clone Wars[]

When the Clone Wars broke out, she was already a well known Separatist.
