The Separatist New Council was a splinter faction of the Confederacy of Independent Systems following the Clone Wars. They were headquartered at Wayland, and controlled large swathes of territory throughout the Ojoster sector.

The Separatist New Council was formed in the months following the end of the Clone Wars and the rise of the Galactic Empire. Managing to hold several worlds throughout the Ojoster sector under the dictation of the Prime Councillor, the Separatist New Council waged a conventional war with the Galactic Empire.
In 16 BBY, after several devastating space battles and losing multiple worlds, the Separatist New Council was defeated after Wayland was invaded and occupied by Imperial forces. They went into hiding in the underground caverns of Muunilinst, which was controlled by the Empire, where they remotely directed several hit-and-run attacks on Imperial assets with what little they had left. Just before the outbreak of the Clone Wars, the members of the Separatist New Council including the elderly Prime Councillor were discovered and executed on-site.
Composition[]
The Separatist New Council boasted a large remnant of the Separatist Droid Army, which included B1 and B2 battle droids. IG-100 MagnaGuards armed with E-5 blasters served as bodyguards to the New Council's leaders, following them from their stronghold on Wayland to their hiding place on Muunilinst. Several mercenary companies were also in their service, including remnants of the Neimoidian Gunnery Battalion during their last stand on Muunilinst.
The space forces commanded by the Separatist New Council included a fleet of Munificent-class star frigates, at least one Lucrehulk-class battleship, and swarms of Vulture droid starfighters. Most of these forces were destroyed during the siege of Wayland, though some frigates and droid starfighters remained as they carried out pirate raids on the remote orders of the New Council.
