Seoularians were a human civilization from Seoul 5, a remote planet in Wild Space. They spoke Seoulian, but few also new Galactic Basic Standard.

History[]

The Seoularians, hailing from Seoul 5, were considered to be more advanced than surrounding races. They created an empire controlling most of Wild Space and parts of the Outer Rim Territories in 50,000 BBY.

However, in 28,000 BBY, they were defeated by the Rakatan Infinite Empire and enslaved. Seoularians were deported to many planets as slaves throughout the Empire. In 25,000 BBY, they were one of the species that revolted against their overlords in the Rakatan Civil War and overthrew them.

Because of Rakatan subjugation and enslavement, their population dwindled to less than 1 million. They split up into various city states, with the largest one being the city of Ornai in the southern hemisphere. The records of the planet and it's location were lost in the chaos that engulfed the former Infinite Empire.

In 6 BBY, a Viper probe droid sent out by Emperor Palpatine to find a planet for a storehouse rediscovered Seoul 5. Seoularians were reintroduced to the galaxy, and Ornai became the capitol as well as the largest spaceport on the planet. However, visitors were rare, and most Seoularians just stayed there. The Galactic Empire built an airbase on the planet.

In 3 BBY, a Seoularian named Sozin Sakai joined the Imperial Navy and brought attention to the lost civilization by becoming an ace TIE pilot.
