Sed'tral was a desolate world located deep in Wild Space which served as the base of operations for Darth Vorath and his Sith Order. It was also the homeworld of the mysterious Talortai species.
History[]
The world that would become known as Sed'tral was first discovered five hundred years before the Great Hyperspace War by an ancient Sith Lord named Krakan-Mak. Having lost the right to the title of Dark Lord of the Sith to his rival, Krakan-Mak had taken his followers and departed from Sith Space intent on forging his own empire. Their first jump into hyperspace took them into Wild Space, where they crash-landed on an uncharted desert world. Krakan-Mak and the surviving crew shortly made contact with the native Talortai and impressed them with their "magic" Force abilities.
In time, a temple was erected from which Krakan-Mak ruled over his people. The Sith Lord gave the planet the name "Sed'tral" after an ancient Sith word loosely meaning "the true ruler." To preserve his life, Krakan-Mak utilized an oubliette he had made for himself and entered a stasis-like sleep for the next two thousand years. Overtime, his followers would die out with only his Talortai bodyguard surviving, dutifully guarding his oubliette. Meanwhile, in Sith Space, Krakan-Mak's name was stricken from history at the order of the reigning Dark Lord and he was assumed to have died upon his departure.
Around 3950 BBY, Sed'tral was rediscovered by the rogue Sith Marauder Vorath, who had recently escaped the wrath of the resurgent Sith Empire. Coming across Krakan-Mak and his temple, Vorath bested the Talortai guardian and killed the ancient Sith Lord within his oubliette. Taking over the temple for himself, Vorath began to lay the foundation for his new Sith Order.
