Sector Commander was a rank created following the Battle of Yavin and the destruction of the first Death Star. As part of the Imperial Military's Reorganization, this rank was bestowed uppon several Imperial Moffs and other indivinduals.

Powers[]

A Sector Commander was in charge of a Sector's forces. Most notably a Sector Commander filled the position of a Moff in the military affairs. Usually a Sector Commander appointed all three senior sectorial officers (Surface Marshal, High Admiral, High Marshal), without him/her claiming these ranks as his/her own (something that most Moffs did).

It is clear that a Sector Commander was superior to a Moff when it came to the Military. However because of their jurisdiction, many Moffs decommissioned their commanders following the Reorganization.

History[]

The rank itself was created roughly on 2 ABY, as part of the Imperial Reorganization. It was clear enough that a "martial law" had to be enacted in order for the Empire to bring balance back. When that happenned most Moffs decommissioned their Sector Commanders.

However many of the decommissioned Sector Commanders became Moffs and a large number of them joined Dasko Nihos' Extragalactic SpecOps. As a Priority Sector High Commander, Dasko welcomed the ,hunted by the Moffs, Commanders and the Emperor allowed him to use them and their rank.

Alongside many High Commanders, the Sector Commanders enjoyed peace at the Imperial Oversector of the empty Void.

Legacy[]

Even after the Empire was demolished at the hands of the Rebellion, most commanders had found refugee at the Extragalactic Oversector, which had now become the Extragalactic Quadrant because of it's size and large territory.
