Sarus's father was the father of Sarus, the Ophuchi Clan leader in 22 BBY. Years earlier, around 60 BBY, Sarus and his father traveled to an old Ophuchi settlement in the ruins of Arrakeen. At Arrakeen, Darius, the Ophuchi leader at the time, told Sarus that Sarus had a spirit inside him that had lived for a hundred thousand years and would continue to live for many more years.[1]
