Saotu was a male Ho'Din Jedi Knight who lived during the New Sith Wars. Atypically for the time, despite his Knighthood, he elected to pursue a career in the Agricultural Corps. By 1,389 BBY, he was the master of the Jedi chapter house on Taanab, supervising AgriCorps Jedi Finja and Olik Gryfe. He hosted Jedi Knight Tirien Kal-Di and his Padawan, Narasi Rican, after their mission to protect Senator Glavial Iltek from assassination. During their stay, he spent many hours meditating with Tirien, but also counseled Narasi through her anxiety following her first combat kill.
During the Battle of Taanab, the chapter house was overrun by Sith infiltrators and Saotu was killed trying to protect Finja. The two were given a Jedi funeral along with Omiyan Beltess.
