Sandexi was the primary star in the Sandexi system and provided light and warmth to the residents of the planet of Vitea. Sandexi was a red giant and the residents of Vitea described it as a representation of the Vitean humans, an ancient culture at the end of its time, despite a great history. The sun was indeed nearing the end of 12 billion standard year life, and the residents of Vitea swore the star grew redder and dimmer every day, and the days got cooler and darker. In 132 ABY, the Sandexi system was attacked by Darth Krayt and the Eliminator, with the star being the primary target. Despite the best efforts of the Fel empire remnant and the alliance remnant, the Eliminator swallowed the sun, creating a lethal black hole in its place.

The destruction Of Sandexi
However, with the help of a blast from the fire of savior, the Eliminator was destroyed by the black hole and the titanic energies were released back into the system firing up a reborn version of Sandexi, a bright blue star. The beings of Vitea considered this a sign that things can never truly be destroyed, and that there is always a second chance in life. Since the rebirth of Sandexi, the system has also included a huge space station known as Hope, used by the Jedi as a port and refueling center for cruisers and allowing smaller traffic to travel down to Vitea for the Jedi seeking enlightenment on the planet.
Characteristics[]
Sandexi was many times the size of the average yellow dwarf, over 272 million kilometers, and shone many times as brightly. Despite it being the size of a giant star, Sandexi was technically a dwarf in terms of the rate it used up its hydrogen supply, and as a result the star lived long enough for life to prosper on Vitea and its moons. After its apparent destruction at the battle of Vitea, Sandexi was reborn from its own wreckage. The new Sandexi was slightly smaller than the old, but shone much brighter and was significantly heavier, probably being enhanced by the energies trapped for millennia inside the Eliminator
