Sai tok was one of the nine marks of lightsaber combat. It was a lightsaber blow which bisected the opponent. The most common sai tok was to cut an opponent in half at the waist, but others applied sai tok by cutting enemies from hip to shoulder or shoulder to hip, or even vertically from skull to groin.
Many Jedi looked down on the use of sai tok against living opponents, considering it Sith-like in its desire to utterly destroy the enemy.
Notable uses[]
Tirien Kal-Di combined telekinetic lightsaber combat and sai tok to kill Zygro during their duel on Thisspias.[1]
Third Aurek killed one of the Blue Guards defending Supreme Chancellor Phnyong by splitting him from groin to skull.[2]
After cutting off Kirthi's sword arm, Darth Vandak finished her with sai tok.[3]
During the Battle of the Sith Star, Kieran Sapphire dueled Vev Nar and cut the Weequay in half at the waist.
