Rubis Inkari was the mother of Fias Inkari and wife of Raze Inkari.

Biography[]

Rubis' family lived a middle class lifestyle on the planet of Chalacta. They lived on a mallow farm which supplied most of their foodstuffs. Rubis dedicated herself to this labor while Raze worked as a bartender at the Kuna Jaa pub in the inercity.

One day in 39 BBY, Jedi Padawan Akela Taske was lodging at Kuna Jaa while investigating a senator's corruption accusations when she noticed a spoon vibrating at the end of the main bar table. Getting up and peeking past another customer, she observed a young Chalactan girl nearby in a dark corner facing directly towards the utensil with her eyes closed, clearly deeply focussing on it. She asked the bartender, Razr Inkari, who was preocupied serving other customers, about her bearings and learned she was his daughter. She suspected the girl was likely force sensitive and later reported the incident to her master Miran Torlo, also on the planet. The two Jedi later tracked down the Inkari family where they were able to convince Fias to reveal her abilities to her astonished parents, confirming her powers. Rubis and Raze, after a week of hesistant discussion, agreed to let the Jedi bring and train their daughter on Coruscant with the promise of constant contact, proud that their family

One day in 39 BBY, Fias was visiting her father's workplace where Fias unexpectedly started moving utensils around without contact. Ironically, Akela Taske, a Jedi padawan was at the same bar and reported the incident to Miran Torlo, his master. Rubis and Raze were astonished and happily and let the Jedi bring the force-sensitive child to Coruscant to train to become a Jedi. Unfortunately, several days after her son was brought to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant her husband came home from his job as a bartender drunk and stabbed her, and himself after, using a kitchen knife. Both died that night.
