Rickster Ornel was a member of the archaeologist group from Uthel that was led by Irvick Hozzuge. He was also a husband to Deyla Ornel and the father of Saire Ornel.
Biography[]
Rickster was one of the three sons of the famous Uthelian traveler Erji Ornel, who sometimes worked as an amateur archaeologist on several worlds. He wanted all of his sons to become either travelers like him, or military men like his own father. However, Rickster was a naughty boy and usually disobeyed Erji. That was the reason why Rickster decided to study history and other disciplines in the Ledjin State Museum.
He was accepted, and professor Oborro became his mentor for the time being. Others as well instructed him in his studies. That was the time when he became acquainted with Erlion and Irvick Hozzuge, as well as his granddaughter Deyla.
Deyla and Rickster would become good friends, and would eventually fall in love with each other. Their relationship progressed as they joined the archaeological group of researchers led by Irvick Hozzuge. Together, they traveled around Uthel and studied ancient ruins and castles.
In 31 BBY, Rickster went to Shiib along with his friends to find the mystic mausoleum of the Last Shiibian Ruler. While searching for the tombs, Irvick awoke "the ancient evil of Shiib". This was the event that would result in a war against the unknown beasts and the citizens of Baash'Baan.
During this turmoil, a group of fugitives from Anarmar (a planet being attacked by the armies of Prolla), including the Prime Minister Adrio Velenno, Duvar Enego, and several others, tried to find help. Rickster persuaded Velenno to aid Bassh'Baanians, and in exchange, they would help the Prime Minister resolve the situation with Prolla.
