The "Remote" was a Derriphan Sithspawn[1] artificially created by the Sith alchemist Kasidzostina to serve as her familiar spirit and aid in the performing of Sith magic. It merited its nickname for its resemblance to a floating droid remote used in various Sith lightsaber exercises. Infamous among the staff of the Veeshas Tuwan library-temple[2] on Arkania[3] for its unexpurgated sense of sarcasm, the Remote notably engaged in a longstanding feud with Mishridz's friend Karos, the curator of the Veeshas Tuwan.
