Remar Almor was a Human male bounty hunter.
Biography[]
Early life and career[]
Remar Almor was born on Hosnian Prime to a family with a decorated military background. Rather then pursue a life in the New Republic military however, he ended up losing all of his family's earnings at the Canto Bight Casino on Cantonica. Left with nothing but the clothes on his back, Almor was forced to turn to a life of crime in order to survive in the galaxy. Finding work on a smuggling freighter, he was able to make it to Ord Mantell, where he decided to put his military training to use as a bounty hunter.[1]
For a time, Almor only accepted jobs from law offices, not wanting to become the sort of scum most bounty hunters were known as. However, the onslaught of the Glorian War put him in a desperate place and he was forced to take jobs from crime bosses and even Hutt gangsters. After the Glorian War, Remar settled into a gray area; he would only accept dirty jobs if the bounty in question was disreputable enough or meant something personal to him. At some point in his career, he formed a partnership with the Wookiee Sharbrook, who owed him a life debt.[1]
Hunting Kadar[]
In 40 ABY, Almor found a bounty posting for the ex-Mandalorian Kadar. Having heard misconstrued tales that painted Kadar as a cold-blooded killer, Almor wanted nothing more than to see the armored cyborg brought to justice. Accepting a job from Black Sun Vigo Scur Bodalla, Almor and his crew attempted to catch Kadar at the Wheel only to be stopped by the administrator Master-Com. [2]
Months later, Almor found Kadar again on Takodana, only to switch his sights to his partner Salvan Tai, whom he discovered had a much bigger bounty on his head, due to being a former Glorian general. Salvan was able to escape Almor's clutches, as did Kadar, who fell off the radar following the Battle of Mandalore.[3]
One last job[]
The following year, Almor and his crew accepted a crew from the Ithorian collector Dok-Ondar to retrieve the Ryloth Ark from a storage house on Phaeda. However, Almor had already accepted a better offer from the crime lord Drakmos the Despised for the Ark. When his crewmember Dax Goldam protested this betrayal, Almor and Sharbrook abandoned him on Phaeda before delivering the Ark to Drakmos on Ord Talavos.[4]
After this delivery, Drakmos offered them a job to eliminate the heirs of the Dowager Sareth Valrisa. Realizing that the amount Drakmos was offering would pay off all their debts and allow them to retire, Almor and Sharbrook accepted and traveled to Naboo to eliminate Lady Valera Teramo. With Teramo due to marry Senator Darius Naberrie, Almor set up position near the temple where the couple would be getting married. When the time came however, Almor somehow missed his shot and accidentally hit Senator Naberrie in the shoulder instead. Not long after, the room he and Sharbrook were set up in was stormed by the Jedi Padawan Rey and the Royal Naboo Security Forces. After threatening Almor, Rey severed both of Sharbrook's arms with her lightsaber and the two bounty hunters were apprehended by the Security Forces.[4]
Almor was brought in for questioning and he told his interrogators that Drakmos had been the one who had hired him, as well as the fact that Lady Teramo had been his intended target. It was not long after this that the First Order arrived to occupy Naboo and Queen Renemé seized absolute control of the planet in their name. It was during this time that Teramo visited Almor in his holding cell with the intent of killing him for the attempt on her life. Before she could follow through with this, she was knocked out by the Renegades, who proceeded to free Almor. He then joined the Renegades in rescuing the Skywalker family from the Supremacy, after which the First Order withdrew its forces from Naboo.[4]
Following the incident on Naboo, Almor joined the Smugglers' Alliance to tell them what he knew about Drakmos and the Malvis Cabal.[4]
