Death Watch Revival Series

Redneb was a semi-intelligent Nashtah from the planet Dra III.

Biography[]

For a long time, it was though that Nashtah roamed the land, slaughtering whatever crossed their path. That belief changed when it was discovered that Nashtah hunt in tribes. Each tribe was ruled by a Red Nashtah with a higher form of intellect. Redneb was the leader of the Seshah Tribe.

Rebel Invasion[]

In 2 ABY, Rebels made a base in the Seshah's lands. Believing the Nashtah to be simple pests, they began to exterminate the tribe. Redneb was forced to take his tribe out of their lands and find a new place to live.

They began to set up ambush parties to attack the invading Rebels. But when they ambushed a group of Imperial Soldiers. Redneb, seeing this as a moment of opportunity, arranged an alliance to defeat the Rebels. With their combined strength, the Seshah and the Imperials were able to defeat the Rebels. General Tarkin and his crew left afterwords.

Captured[]

The next years were great for Redneb, his tribe was at their strongest, and they had control of most of the land, until in 14 ABY. A group of New Republic soldiers came and scouted the land. Redneb and his warriors attacked, but failed to defend their land. The soldiers, noticing Redneb's skin color, knocked him out and took him away. Upon awakening in a transport to a zoo, Redneb spoke, alerting the humans to his speech capability. He was quickly sold into show business as a talking beast. Sick of all the shows, he would express his disinterest in the way he was being held with his rather "colorful" list of expletives. It made no difference however and he continued to travel about the Galaxy.

Another fateful encounter[]

Redneb: “Hey, buddy! You've got to help my friend!
Guard: “Holy crap! A talking animal!
―Redneb failing to get help from a guard

In 18 ABY, Redneb was performing a show on a space station orbiting Sluis Van. During the performance, Echon Tarkin walked into the bar. Remembering him as the fellow who had helped him a long time ago, attacked his keeper, killing him. The guards moved forth to attack, but Echon and the group he was with swarmed the guards and killed them. During the battle however, Echon was critically injured and Redneb attempted to solicit help from a unsuspecting guard. Luckily, Echon survived and Redneb joined the group soon after.

Stealing from the enemy[]

Soon after, the station was destroyed and the group was stranded on the planet. They were able to repair their ship, but they needed to steal an experimental hyperdrive in order to get new transponder codes. The group headed to Naboo where they found the place under Imperial control. Redneb remained with the ship in order to prevent his recapture. Soon after, the group returned with the hyperdrive and returned to Sluis Von and left for Coruscant.

Going back home[]

Afterwords, as the group prepared for Kamino, Redneb said his goodbyes and convinced a group of spacers to take him back to Dra III, promising them that he since he was royalty on his planet, that would be rewarded. Instead, they were rewarded with quick deaths. There he retook control of his tribe and set out to rule the entire planet.

Personality and Traits[]

Redneb was a bizarre creature, able to speak Galactic Basic Standard and his own tongue with ease. His large stature proved to be a burden in certain areas. His homesickness proved to his hardest burden, which finally led him to leave the group and return home.

Behind the scenes[]

Redneb is a Tuckerization of Bender.
