Red Militia was a term for Srav Federation soldiers and militia used in garrisons and occupation centres on Srav-controlled worlds. Roughly analogous to the Necasian NPEC, Red Militia were often used against any resistance fighters, and also served as secret police, raiding homes of suspected dissidents or rebels. Unlike the NPEC, the Red Militia did not accept friendly collaborators in its ranks, instead allocating seperate divisions for them, and it focused more on armed combat against riots and as a line of defence in the case of enemy attacks rather than straightforward law enforcement and peacekeeping. Regular Srav troops stationed alongside them would often assist them in their duties.
Red Militia were often distinguished from other Srav troops by wearing masks designed to intimidate.
