A base was built by the Alliance to Restore the Republic on the planet of Selsor in 2 ABY. It was a fairly large fortification built into the base of a cliff, going underground. The term "base" refers to it specifically, and the many outposts on the planet were referred to by different names, such as Outpost Beta. In 3 ABY, the Galactic Empire commenced a final attack on the base during the Battle of Selsor. The base was largely destroyed.
