Rand family was prominent militant family from Alderaan, with all members joining the Republic Military.
A prominent member, albeit adopted was Elliah Rand, Naval corpsman and commander who fought during the Mandalorian Wars and Jedi Civil War before being stranded on Taris during the bombing; surviving the blasts, she and the leader of the Hidden Beks, Gadon Thek rallied what remained of the Upper City and Lower City citizens to the Undercity to survive.
