The Qualtroughians were sapient primates native to the Outer Rim planet of Qualtrough. They bore a strong resemblance to the Gigorans of Gigor.
Biology and appearance[]
The Qualtroughians were 2-meter-tall white-furred primates with fluffy manes, large black eyes, five-clawed fingers, and three-clawed feet.
Society and culture[]
Qualtroughians could work for any affiliation and occupation, and could speak in a language which consists of grunts and growls. They could also speak Basic. They were one of the 5 million sentient species (alien races) known to the Empire in the galaxy.
History[]
The Qualtroughians were the sentient descendants of a non-sentient primate species. They evolved on Qualtrough, a cold, mountainous planet located in the Qualtrough system within the Belsmuth sector of the Outer Rim Territories. Their homeworld was explored sometime between 5000 BBY and 3000 BBY, during the Great Hyperspace War to the Kanz Disorders. It fell into the area of space known as the Borderlands. They shared their home sector with the Jefi.
In 500 BBY, the Jedi Order's mobile praxeum ship, the Chu'unthor, visited their homeworld, and the Jedi occupants helped negotiate a truce amongst them. It became a part of Separatist Space during the Clone Wars. In 25 ABY, their homeworld's population was at several billion. Their homeworld became a part of Darth Krayt's Sith Empire in 137 ABY.
