The Procopia Summit was a conference held on Procopia in the Tapani sector to conclude the 157 ABY Tapani Conflict. It produced the Treaty of Procopia.
Jedi Master Shandur Arrofai and Imperial Captain Nell Serris of the Imperial Diplomatic Corps led the summit, which compelled the attendance of the Privy Councils of major noble houses of the Tapani sector: the combatant Houses Calipsa, Cadriaan, Reena, Pelagia, and Melantha, as well as neutral Houses Mecetti and Barnaba. Delegates from the Freeworld Territory attended as well. On behalf of the Galactic Federation Triumvirate, the Imperial fleet had forced a break in the conflict, and Arrofai and Serris were determined to forge a lasting peace in the sector—or, failing that, at least to bring the nobles under control.
Houses Cadriaan and Calipsa were the dominant belligerents in the conflict, and each blamed the other for the eruption of violence. After days of trying to sort it out, Captain Serris eventually wrote a draft document apportioning reparations among the houses. All parties objected, and Master Arrofai insisted the Tapani sector must have been influenced by the One Sith. Indeed, the only party to support Serris's plan of apportioned reparations was House Mecetti, which, in the wake of the conflict, was the strongest noble house in the sector.
Through a combination of negotiation and threats, Serris and the Mecetti eventually compelled the other houses to accept the revised document, which became the Treaty of Procopia and provided for Mecetti oversight of the sector and periodic investigations by the Jedi Order. None of the combatant houses were pleased, but all preferred stewardship of the peace by the Mecetti—the devils they knew—rather than the Empire, or even worse the Jedi.
The Procopia Summit concluded after forty-four days of negotiations.
