Primal Codex

The Primal Codex, one of the three last known relics of the Kathol

The Primal Codex, also refereed to as the Golden Codex or simply as the Codex, was a Holocron like construct created by the ancient Kathol thousands, or perhaps millions, of years before the rise of the Galactic Republic.

Often identified as being glasslike and crystal-esque, the Codex was fragile, with rough handling or falls damaging it, but remarkably light in weight, and self-repairing of physical damage. Most extraordinary of all, the Codex reacted to the Force in particular ways, and could only be activated by a Force-sensitive. The Codex also illuminated when held by a Force-sensitive, glowing a bright golden hue of such radiance, it was once likened to the brilliance of a sun.

In line with the Force-technology and biotechnology the Kathol were known for, the Codex was semi-organic in nature, able to "commune" empathically with a sufficiently aware Force-sensitive. In doing so, the Codex allowed a Force-sensitive to locate other Force-sensitives and even quantify their strength through the Force. The Codex was also known to significantly augment the natural strength of a Force-sensitive to nearly colossal proportions. The Aing-Tii monks revered the Codex with religious fervency, and acted as the keepers of the device since the first era of the Galactic Alliance.
