Pirgan Lydanz was a world discovered by the Ugnaught explorer of the same name. It was in Wild Space and part of a young star system called the Pirgan Lydanz system.

Description[]

About six percent of the surface was covered by water and cold, harsh temperatures left the surface barren and nearly devoid of natural lifeforms. A local year was 7895 of the planet's days which equaled slightly more than 10.8 standard years. From space the ground appeared purple and white with a mixture of yellow, but the color was caused by atmospheric conditions. The surface was actually ranged in color from brown to grey.

History[]

Its discover in 1,167 BBY was by an Ugnaught named Pirgan Lydanz. It was used by the Separatists as a prison colony until the Republic discovered and liberated it after Ber Wend and five other prisoners escaped in 20 BBY. It was later used as a prison planet by the Empire under Warden Skradd Ghulio. He reopened the prison as a secret training grounds for the First Order in 30 ABY.

In 174 ABY the planet was colonized by a group of Oxoorians who built the city of Free Oxoor. After the destruction of Oxoor in 206 ABY, thousands of Oxoorians who had survived the destruction immigrated to Pirgan Lydanz, making it their new homeworld. Despite the fact that the Telosian Concordat was responsible for the destruction of Oxoor, it gained such a considerable influence on Pirgan Lydanz that the organization was able to recruit many youth from the planet, including G. C. Lemoss.
