Pika, the planet of death. People who tried to exterminate the inhabitants exterminated themselves.
—General Grievous
Pika was a once uninhabitable planet located in the Tarabba sector of the Outer Rim Territories, approximately twelve parsecs behind the planet Utapau. It became notorious for becoming the site of a major battle that would bring the fall of the Robotnik Empire.
Pika was home to a variety of species, its main sentience being the Pikachus, who ran the planet's governments. The species of the planet had continued to conflict until the end Imperial Period, when the Pika-Kel treaty was signed, and many of the species had affiliated with the planet's controlling government-the Pika Union.
Geography[]
Almost 70% of Pika's land was wide, grassy plains. This was where almost all Pikachu lived, and was the most well-known area of the planet. However, the rest of the planet sported a wide variety of landscapes, including mountains, forests and even lava pits.
Pikachu lived in small tribes, loosely organized into a planet-wide confederation. Their cities consisted of small huts, caves, or other shelters, built over a large underground tunnel system. Over the years, their society gradually adapted to life on the surface, eventually using these tunnels primarily as storage chambers.
History[]

A Pikachu, the sentient natives of Pika.
Pika was known for having early civilazations of Kel Dors, which did not yet live in Dorin. However, in 3,000 BBY, a mysterious plague wiped out nearly the entire civilization, and thus forced the remains of the civilizations to move to Dorin. In 2,997 BBY, however, life began to appear when mouse-like organisms, named Pikachus, appeared in the planet, and thus Pika was restructured from its plague ridden roots.
Pika was a relatively recent addition to the galactic community, being only a spacer legend as late as 500 years before the Battle of Yavin. Its first documented contact, however, was in 2535 BBY, when a Republic scout ship landed on the unknown planet. As the explorers came out, they were greeted by a hoard of Pikachu from the nearby village. The Pikachu were extremely friendly, giving the newcomers gifts of fruit and flowers. After a two-day stay, the explorers departed in their starship, heading back towards the Republic. But on the way back, an unknown source caused the crew to die, and the ship remained a lifeless hulk, orbiting Pika's sun.
