The Phoenix of Courts, or The Five, were formed around 3,900 BBY, by renegade Jedi. The organization was stationed on Hypori, a planet in the Outer Rim. Once there, the five Jedi Masters chosen for the expedition remained docile, meditating day and night in hopes that they would soon be allowed to leave the wretched planet they were ground too. Nevertheless, four were eventually killed while one specific member fled, hoping to inform the Order about what happened.
In general aspects, the Phoenix of Courts was designed and formed by the Council to eliminate the process of murder by Jedi Younglings, in hopes that soon a certain ally would be granted to Knighthood, where they could assist the republic. The only member that survived soon took a stolen starship back to the order, where she was granted a medal for her courageous efforts.
Founding[]
History[]
The Phoenix of Courts was founded when the Council adapted a new tactic to the war. Having been told of the legend that a certain ally will be placed in their shrine by the power of the Phoenix itself, the Council waited patiently for the tide of the war to turn in their direction. After a period of unyielding combat and pressure, an Ithorian Jedi Agriculturist arrived with their baby.
After being born, the baby's aptitude test proved positive, and the Council had finally discovered the child. In myth, the baby is gifted with the knowledge of where a certain temple on an unknown planet is. Inside the temple, the power to stop the dark side will be unleashed, and finally the war would have ended.
Immediately jumping to work, the Council selected five appropriate masters suitable for the task. The leader, a skilled Chevin by the name of Urtamba was chosen for by the council. Urtamba, a Jedi who was partially paralyzed, specialized in the works of lightning and was uncontrollably skilled in the means of telekinesis.
Caren, a gentle, constantly busy Mon Calamari was given the job of training the youngling in the ways of lightsaber combat, which would eventually lead to his victory. The three other Jedi were properly chosen by skill, way of life and obeying justice to the order. Having been given a makeshift cruiser that was hastily built, the group embarked on a journey to the unforgiving, desert climate of rust-colored Hypori.
The Mission to Teach[]

The campsite found on Hypori
After exploring the dense structure of Hypori, the group came across a desolate campsite left behind by traders. After making refugee within the campsite, the group began to train the Ithorian baby immediately. Constant sandstorms and the overpowering heat of Hyrpori put the order in downfall, making the child less willing to train the planet's natural conditions.
Urtamba, who was old, crippled and strict from his Chevin ancestors, managed to teach the individual a special feature in which temperature of geographical features would not harm nor cause him to weaken. Within two years of training, the child was finally ready for the last tests of ultimate training, one the entire group conversed about each night, worrying that it may prove fatal against his young capability with the force. Urtamba figured the rest of the group foolish, and since the council had declared him leader, he stuck to his word and rudely sentenced them to prepare for the few last parts of the training.
Within the next few weeks of training, the young Ihtorian had learned a countless array of lightsaber forms, blocks, parries, and even an unstoppable count of force skills that was surprising to any master for his skill at the age he was. Urtamba, the aging Chevin who had no patience left in his system waddled over to the child to begin his training. Now able to talk, Caren, the Mon Calamari multi-tasker took interest in his past, and decided to avoid the rule of the addictive Urtamba.
After speaking with the boy for about thirty minutes, in which she had learned his name, Osaig Keetem, and important detail having to do with his family. Not much was said about his father, and due to that Caren decided he did not have one.
Not far into her learning, Caren was interrupted by Urtamba, who arrived with Tiklo, a Wookiee scout, ready to begin teaching. The training course Osaig would have to take was simple-to the masters-but his skill was yet to be determined in the tactic. Urtamba, the skilled force user, would cast a fierce storm of lightning toward him, and Osaig would need to react upon his own instinct to defend himself.
Before the barrage of crackling blue light ensued, Osaig was surrounded by the Jedi, all of which had their colored blades raised high in the air as if to strike. Before he could question what was going on, Osaig was taken aback by Urtamaba's hands spewing bright blue flames in the shape of thin coils.

All of the masters were struck by Osaig's deflection
In a mere moment, Osaig threw up his hands and the lightning broke into a part before him, consuming all of the masters in a swiveling cloak before Urtamba, was shocked as well, dropped his ability to command lightning.
Having passed his test, Osaig was rewarded with a special tool, a training saber.
Downfall[]
Years after Osaig strutted his impressive feature with lightning, an abnormal storm raged across the rusty lands of Hypori. The group, who remained locked inside the campsite for their own saftey, failed to notice an unmarked ship had come across their territory. Sure enough, the Sith had discovered Osaig's location. The council, and the group, were unaware that the Sith had embarked safely onto their trail, and the leader sure knew that the measly group of old, scarred Jedi would prove no match for him.
Sensing unwanted presences, the group quickly took noticed and dispersed themselves separately amongst the campsite, careful not to attract attention of their visitors.

The group is immediately attacked by the invader
Without warning, a sudden, metallic figure sprung from the roof above and indented the floor with his wake. The five masters charged him, all slashing and striking with uncontrolled bashes that put the intruder off guard. Surely, the group figured the trespasser would not be able to defend himself against five masters, but their idea was quickly reconsidered.
After igniting not one, but two sabers, the intruder decided to charge one single individual at a time, luring them into a corner and hopefully cutting away at them with his precise movements.
Eventually, his plan worked, and quickly, Raal En'Dim, a human master, fell to a deep wound on his chest. Morb Holdfor, a master with a thick, graying mustache noticed that the humanoid was busy with Tiklo, who was confusing the attacker with a series of quick leaps and spins.
Unfortunately, Morb was not quick enough to block the swift strikes the humanoid brandished, and he too soon keeled over and perished with a charred slice across his collar bone.
Urtamba, sturdy when trouble was lurking, demanded Caren, who stood nearby, take Osaig and escape, the three masters left soon realizing if they could not survive, Osaig must.
Caren obeyed her order, and the humanoid muttered a sickly groan, demanding the child. The Jedi did not listen, and as she ran with Osaig Urtamba stepped behind her to defend the two. Feeling he wasn't in the mood for a challenge, the humanoid leaped forward and slowly struck, conserving his energy. Urtamba, who had no weapon, deflected the attackers strikes with a force shield, and finally ignited a thin, rusted lightsaber from his belt. After bluntly striking the invader with the butt of his lightsaber, Urtamba fell when his trunk was severed, his body now too disfigured to bare.
Tiklo, the lone Jedi, leaped for an exit right as the invader crushed his spine with the force, the Wookiee's body dropping with a chilling thud as the planet fell quiet. Momentarily resting, and forgetting about his mission, the humanoid noticed Caren's ship darted off into space, and he had lost his target.
The Phoenix of Courts group trained Osaig for sixteen years. The intruder supposedly never found Osaig after his confrontation. Urtamba is a Chevin Jedi whose role comes from Ephant Mon. The Phoenix of Courts was established from a renegade council founded on Taris
