The Persistence was a Venator-class Star Destroyer in service to the naval forces of the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars. In 19 BBY, the Persistence was used by the 96th Legion led by Jedi General Jon Ternath to fight General Yosip Zagoonga of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The Persistence participated in the Battle of Hosnian Prime, the Siege of Quadan VI, and the Battle of Coruscant. During the Battle of Lagobah near the end of the war, the Persistence was attacked by the Recusant-class light destroyer Pride of Frenzan, which forcefully docked with the Star Destroyer and deployed battle droids to destroy it. However, the attack was repelled and the Jedi and clones boarded General Zagoonga's ship. Order 66 was then executed, and in order to kill Padawan Jedaana Lokka, Clone Commander CC-3527 ordered the other two Venators present to fire on the Pride of Frenzan. The Separatist ship was destroyed, but the Persistence was also destroyed in the process as the two vessels were still docked to each other.
