Rise of the Empire era

Padmé Amidala Naberrie was a female Human-Kyro'nian hybrid senator who represented the people of the Chommer sector in the Galactic Senate during the final years of the Galactic Republic. Prior to her career in the Senate, Amidala was elected Princess of Theed and then Queen of Naboo.

Biography[]

Amidala was born Padmé Naberrie in 46 BBY, the youngest daughter of Ruwee and Jobal Naberrie and sister of Sola Naberrie. She was born and lived her early years in a mountain villa. However, her family moved to Theed so that her daughters would have better educational opportunities.

Still a child, Padmé attracted the attention of the eminent senator Sheev Palpatine, who decided to take her as his protégé. At the tender age of eight Padmé entered the junior legislative program, and by the age of ten she was a full apprentice legislator. In 34 BBY, when she was just twelve years old, Padmé was elected Princess of Theed. Palpatine, as her mentor, skillfully guided her to navigate the political landscape, uniting the opposition against the unpopular King Ars Veruna.
