I'd be more afraid of being a useless life. Of living with no purpose. Of dying with nothing to put on my gravestone. I'd be afraid of just being another "remember her?" and never really living.
—Padmé[src]

Padmé was a member of the Ophuchi Clan during the Invasion of Ondos. She was the daughter of the late Ophuchi Clan leader Darius, putting her in line to become the leader of her people when she was old enough, a position Sarus would hold until Padmé could assume the role.

Biography[]

Padmé was born on Tatooine in 47 BBY as the daughter of Darius, the Ophuchi Clan leader. She was also a descendant of Elias, the founder of the Ophuchi Clan. When her father died, Padmé was not old enough to assume leadership of her people, so Sarus, a fellow Ophuchi, became the leader until Padmé was ready to lead. She was often under the tutelage of her mentor, Ray'kele.[1]

In 22 BBY, Padmé met Princess Sabé Arcadia of Ondos, who, along with individuals such as Obi-Wan Kenobi and Logan Amator, were in hiding on Tatooine from the Trade Alliance, which had invaded Ondos. Padmé, who was ready to take up the role of Ophuchi leader, was able to help guide Arcadia, who was reluctant to assume leadership over her own world.[1]

Personality and traits[]

Padmé felt a great sense of compassion for the Ophuchi, as well as for everyone else in the galaxy. She believed that the key to galactic salvation was not just with the Chosen One, but in the inherent goodness of the galaxy's people. This belief allowed her to put other people before herself, but she also felt strongly about her beliefs and defended them when she needed to. She had a strong will, even when those closest to her opposed her.[1]
