Paak was the Serennese Count of House Demici and was a member of the Confederate Remnant. He was the commander of Confederate forces during the key battles of Serenno, Duro, and Anaxes. In the early years after the Battle of Yavin, he was tasked by the Confederate Remnant Chairman, Gizor Dellso, with capturing Coruscant. Leading an army of nearly three hundred thousand battle droids, Paak assaulted Coruscant, at the time known as Imperial Center. His capture of Coruscant; however, was prevented when the Rebel Alliance Navy also arrived above Coruscant and he was caught in a three way battle, where his flagship and most of his forces were destroyed. He returned to Sthiss Tor from Coruscant some time later.
Later and after his failure to capture Coruscant, Paak was commanding at Tetras, a Confederate Remnant fortress world. At the time, an attack was launched on the world by the New Republic forces under Admiral Ishto Boktor. Count Paak and his forces were tricked on Tetras by the traitor Council Member Bomo Greenbark
