Oteyda Falt was a female Kuati aristocrat who served as Kuat's senator during the fourteenth century before the Battle of Yavin. A Humanocentrist, she was disgusted by the Chancellorship of Verpine Jedi Master Phnyong, and ultimately (though covertly) threw in with Human Dark Lord of the Sith Valin Aresh.
In 1,387 BBY, Oteyda received an invitation to the graduation ball at the Republic Navy War College on Anaxes, which Phnyong would be attending. She initially considered declining, but instead accepted the invitation at Aresh's instruction to provide cover for Third Aurek, a member of the Dark Vanguard; he posed as her telbun to get inside.
Oteyda successfully got Third Aurek within arm's reach of Phnyong, but his assassination attempt was foiled by the intervention of Jedi Padawan Narasi Rican. Phnyong still died, having been poisoned by Darth Alecto, but Oteyda was unable to celebrate the roundabout victory; Alecto had poisoned the ball's wine, and Oteyda, having drunk a glass, died from the poison as well.
Falt was replaced in the Senate by Vida of Andrim.
