Osman Pasha was a Nautolan male Jedi Knight during the Alsakan Crisis and the Hutt War. Osman was brought to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant at a young age, where his Jedi masters concluded that he was hot headed. At one point, Osman went into a self-imposed exile from the Jedi Order, but he returned at the age of twenty and was deemed to have become more stable than he was in his youth. For the next twenty years, he focused on meditation, training, and teaching. During this time, he developed a lightsaber form similar to both Ataru and Soresu, though he seldom used it because he preferred to be a source of calmness.
Biography[]
Jedi Youngling[]
As a youth, Osman was considered hot headed and was frequently the ire of many teachers. The pranks he pulled frightened many teachers to the point they threaten to stop teaching him. He discontinued the more serious ones, and life went on. Around age 9, a fellow student Slaner Boein, chose the insult Osman badly. This forced Osman to pull out his new training saber against this foe, one who had been trained well in saber techniques. The first duel was rather short, and ended with Osman losing a tendril from an attack he failed to block. Moments later the second duel came, with vastly different outcomes. The second duel ended when Osman force pushed Slaner into a wall, knocking him unconscious. After that duel Osman devoted his free time learning the form of Ataru.
Jedi Padawan[]
Right before being called to train under Corina Linar, Osman was brought along on a mission that would teach him how to be diplomatic. On a frontier world at the time, there was a conflict that many thought would elevate to violence any moment. The Jedi sent along a party headed by a Jedi Knight, and several Padawans. Osman was chosen as the 'head' Padawan, and when the Jedi Knight was unfortunately found sick, he had to finish the negotiations. The meeting went amazingly well once Osman cut a table in half to stop several people from fighting.
After this mission, Osman was called forth and begun to be trained under Corina Linar, a Jedi Knight who also trained several other Padawans, most notably Amaterasu Selena. During this training Corina faced Osman's hotheadedness easily, and sent him on a mission along with Amaterasu. The two investigated a cave where the Dark Side was reportedly heavy in presence. Deep in the cave was a dark side Force user, who tempted Osman and Amaterasu with the power of the Dark Side. In the end though, the two prevailed and brought him to the Temple.
After this mission, Osman became upset about how slowly his training was going, and he left the Temple and the Jedi for what he thought was forever.
Self-exile[]
Osman had left the Order and now fell into corruption. He turned to what the old man from the cave had said, and began thinking of the Dark Side. He went to Tanaab, a agricultural world where he could easily practice the Dark Side. But that was not so true. Osman began to rile many people, and riots caused by him caught the attention of the Jedi. They sent out a Jedi Knight and her Padawan. They had sent Amaterasu and her Padawan Damien. They happened into a attack, where Osman had been using farmers as suicide bombers. They stopped the attack and found the source of these riots. But Amaterasu did not follow. She had sent word back and the Jedi had sent their answer: Corina Linar. She had come to take over from Amaterasu and bring Osman back.
Amaterasu told Corina what she had found, and where to find Osman. Corina went to Osman's hideout, and there they fought. It was not a flashy battle, and was ended very quickly. Corina had followed her orders, and Osman was still alive, but unconscious. She brought Osman back to the Temple where he would meet with the Council.
Back at the Temple[]
Osman went to the Healers while Corina had a talk with the Council. He was taken to the meeting once he was okay enough, but he refused to physically speak. Instead he would respond with telepathic messages. Finally after being outraged by one particular Council Member, Osman spoke his frustration and anger towards them all. After being given a choice, either be locked up for life or live as a Jedi with freedom, Osman chose to stay Jedi.
He began training under another Knight, but soon during this training, the Great Schism began.
The Ospion Schism[]
Banik Kelrada, the Grandmaster of the Jedi Order, had killed another Master, apparently to hold back the truth. He was led away and put in prison for everyone's protection. But it would not end so easily, and many Jedi left because of this act. Among these who left were Corina and Amaterasu. It was the last time Osman saw them, but he understood what they had done. He had faced it before, but he had come back to his original path. Osman stayed a Jedi and would never change again.
Further Jedi exploits[]
After the Ospion Schism, Osman Pasha found a new master in the form of Master Huang Karasu. A gifted swordsman in the Form of Juyo, Master Karasu pushed Osman past his physical and mental limitations during his training and near the end, dueled Osman. Osman lost, but he got what he wanted all along: Knighthood. After being promoted Osman began to train padawans here and there, in between perfecting his Soresu form. He went on many missions that took him around the galaxy, and on three seperate occasions Osman had to use his sword skills to defend himself from attacks.
The first was when Osman went to Sartinaynian, where a small jewel war had broken out. On trader had sold a Curusca gem for a very small amount because he had no idea what it was. The jeweler that bought it knew how much it was worth but got it for very low. He then made a ring from the gem, and began to tell people about it. The original owner, Harol Jeut, decided to get it back, or get as much money as it was worth. But the jeweler Isahn Quert refused to give Harol any more money. The two then fell into arguements, and a fist fight began. They were seperated, and vowed vegeance on the other. Harol got many of his friends and others involved by telling them his story and Isahn did likewise, although he actually hired mercenaries. Osman arrived right about the time a street battle started. Isahn's mercenaries won the fight, but Osman stopped them from looting Harol's store. The mercenaries scoffed at him, then opened fire. Within a minute all the mercenaries were on the ground moaning in pain. Osman had used Soresu to perfection, sending back the blasts into their knees and arms. Seconds later Osman arrested Isahn and took him to trial.
Afterwards, Osman went back to Ossus and trained more padawans for the Jedi. He then went along with the Grandmaster Colm Lorian to Naboo and stayed on a orbital platform that was there to help the colonists. Osman stayed on station to help the colonists get settled and mediate any confrontations that took place. Ofcourse the orbital station was a target for many pirate groups, and one group had actually decided to attack it. Osman was on the bridge advising the Captain on the placement of a new settlement, when the pirates boarded and made their demands: All who surrendered would live, any who resisted would die. The Captain ordered the crew to do so, and he himself would have gone down there to surrender, had reports about the pirates killing surrendering crew members not come in. The Captain changed his orders very quickly, and most of the escape pods were ejected with people inside. All that were left were the bridge crew and Osman. Being a Jedi, and feeling that he should have stopped the attack sooner, Osman stepped outside the bridge and told the Captain to lock it. An hour later Osman returned, breathing heavily and a smile on his face. He had won this test of strength, and with it worked off his guilt.
Osman returned to Ossus, but then headed to Coruscant to inspect the new Temple.
