Oris Ski was an Admiral of the Galactic Republic. He had been part of Night Hammer Command during the Clone Wars. As Admiral he got confronted by corruption within the Republic. He witnessed how Republic senators bribed war committees to allocate forces to their homeworlds, leaving vital worlds unprotected. After his homeworld became a victim of this corruption and subsequently attacked by pirate forces, he became disillusioned with the Republic and gained sympathy for the Separatists. Over months he provided the Separatists with classified information on Republic campaigns, amongst this information were details on the upcomming assault on Sullust. Ski would be part of the attack on Sullust and would be in command of the combined Republic and Planetary Defense forces' fleet, making himself a usefull asset for the Confederacy.
During the battle Asajj Ventress contacted Ski and provided him with a self-duplicating virus. The Admiral uploaded the virus to his flagship and over several days the computer virus spread through the Republic fleet. Once Ventress' fleet had arrived, the shields of the ship got overridden and shut down. Many ships got lost to Separatist fire, including Ski his flagship. Ski was however able to escape to a Separatist ship using an escape pod. The virus made it able for the Separatists to beat back the Republic forces and the Battle of Sullust became a victory for the CIS. Admiral Ski was rewarded for his service to the Confederacy and would be placed in command of a Separatist fleet, with Dooku promising his new ally that Contruum would be amongst the first candidates for a liberation action. The loss at Sullust was a painful one for the Republic and Republic Intelligence launched a full investigation in the battle. Previously believing that Ski had perished during the battle, Republic intelligence managed to find information about Ski's survival. Over the next weeks the full scale of his betrayal became known, action had to be taken. It became known that Ski would travel to the neutral banking world of Genian, to collect his stored savings. A Clone commando team was dispatched to Genian and assassinated Admiral Oris Ski. Making his career in the Confederacy of Independent Systems short lived.
