Quor Rayt: “……What you claim is absurd, you are dangerous revolutionaries who follow a different path, is not your ally the force?
Tyrontis Haze: “My ally is not merely the Force Master Rayt, but the mystery that birthed its existence, the mystery that grants us its knowledge and wisdom...
―an exiled Jedi Master being questioned by the Jedi Counsel

The Order of Arrack were a group of Jedi who had chose to leave the Jedi Order on Coruscant due to differing views on doctrinal beliefs. In time these Jedi formed a collective order on the unidentified moon of the planet Krynore; believed to have been in the elusive Joreki quadrant. Upon discovering the remains of a huge outpost, the Jedi made contact with the last surviving member of an ancient alien race. This soul survivor is believed to have given the Jedi complete access to its cultures knowledge as well as the technology concealed within the outpost. Shortly after the aliens’ sudden death, the Jedi officially formed another order; taking on the new persona and culture of the Arrack people. The Jedi discarded their past and constructed for them new life’s. With their new identity and new found freedom, the order was said to have flourished, with individual’s eventually marrying and raising families. though dominant in number and having advanced technology at their disposal, The order remained obscure, having little contact with outside worlds. Reports of their selective missions can be found nonetheless, however the reports that exist fail to shed more detailed light on the order or the circumstances behind their mysterious disappearance.

Known history[]

unknown Jedi Master: “…...The Jedi are selfless young one, without possession, full of compassion, we work for peace and the common good…
unknown Padawan: “Selflessness? compassion? peace? the common good? master, what is the foundation for these attributes? The world view? At least the Sith have absolutes by which to contextualize their reasoning, the Order merely claim to act out of goodness while professing that existence itself is random and undirected. What is your absolute Master? What is deemed worthy and just to the Order is another’s disgust and malevolence! you boast such high wisdom of the Force yet you condemn those that proclaim belief in a higher authority!
―an unknown Padawan challenges the reasoning and origin of the Counsel's doctrines with his Jedi Master

The Order of Arrack we’re a group of Jedi Knights and Masters, believed to have numbered in the hundreds who grew weary of certain key principles in Jedi teachings. These individuals contested the Jedi doctrine of absolutes; their view was that the correct source of the Living Force, which they believed was the true mystery of the universe, was in and of its self a factual absolute. Believing that the Jedi order was heading for future destruction they left their brethren behind; these same fears and discrepancies were said to have been shared amongst others that remained within the order, having experienced visions regarding the orders demise.

Rathas

The unidentified moon.

After leaving the Order on Coruscant the group of Jedi did not follow their own predetermined course, instead, it’s believed they had been guided by an unknown Force signature. The Jedi we’re believed to have been killed when their ship was said to have been destroyed by a collision with asteroid debris. The group however survived the destruction, crash landing on the neighbouring moon of the planet Krynore. While stranded on the moon, the Jedi discovered an alien Outpost; the Outpost had belonged to the native sentient inhabitants who had all but died out. One representative remained alive, found by the Jedi in a form of partial symbiotic stasis. It was discovered that this individual, found deep within the Outposts interior, had in fact been graphed into the Outpost’s central computer mainframe; the life form holding within it a complete historical record of its people’s existence. It is said that this life form, known as “Cunuck”, taught the Jedi a great deal regarding its race and culture as well as revealing itself as the same Force signature that had led them to the Krynore moon. This same life form shared many technological advances with the Jedi, as well as configuring the Outpost’s mainframe and data-banks to imitate the exact design and functionality of the Jedi Orders on Coruscant. Shortly after this configuration was complete, the life form was said to have mysteriously died for unknown reasons, leaving the Outpost and all its knowledge in the hands of the Jedi. Choosing to remain on the moon, the Jedi formed the Order of Arrack; the word “Arrack” being the pronunciation that Cunuck’s people used for describing their God, “the architect of the Force”.

Traditions and teachings[]

Finding that the cultures values harmonized with that of their own long held beliefs, the Jedi embraced Cunuck’s peoples teaching and traditions, in time referring to themselves as well as the alien race as, Arrackians. Feeling a need to shed the identity of their previous life, the Jedi created new identities, ones that identified more holistically with their new found purpose. The Jedi fashioned new robes, instruments used in teaching and various artefacts from the Arrackian people were used in ceremonial acts. Upon research into the Arrack culture, the Jedi also discovered a form of self defence practiced by Arrackian guardian priests, which the Jedi adapted as their own. The adopted rituals brought the Jedi a renewed sense of unity and meaning, giving them a somewhat more free-thinking attitude regarding the Living Force. One of the traditions that were introduced was the use of multiple mentors in the learning stages from novice to an warrior. The Jedi used this warrior tuition for training up their Padawan’s in becoming knights of Arrack. The tradition involved twelve masters to every one Novice or Padawan; the masters would all contribute in specific ways for the Padawan’s preparation into knighthood. Once the Order of Arrack became fully established not just as an organization but as a way of life, it is said the Jedi sanctioned the institute of marriage. Although this undoubtedly was a necessary requirement to insure the orders survival, it was believed to have been a natural progression and conscious declaration shared collectively.

Arrack lightsaber[]

Along with the orders training, the lightsaber was also one of the Jedi symbols that took on new significance. Upon learning of an incredibly rare mineral, as well as a particular alloy and certain crystals found within the outposts’ data banks, the Jedi surveyed the brutal environment of the orbiting planet and discovered several subterranean chasms. The Arrackians appeared to have used these chasms as mining sites for these precious substances. Once found the Jedi used the alloy along with the rare mineral and crystals to create a distinctive lightsaber. The lightsaber was to be given to all Jedi upon becoming knights, however contrary to past tradition of lightsabers being entirely customized by their users, the Arrack saber had a predetermined design and its creation was a process that was shared amongst the twelve communal mentors. It is said the only element of the saber that was solely chosen by its user was the emitter shroud (symbolizing the users’ uniqueness as well as paying homage to the unity shared within the order). Other than the Sabers complementary link to the Arrack Order fighting form “Zenite”, it is not entirely known what characteristics the Arrack lightsaber possessed when compared to other lightsabers within the Jedi order. Stories that have circulated regarding its abilities appear to have been vastly exaggerated regarding its power output.

Off-world involvement and disappearance[]

Whomever they were, Omar is a liberated world because of them. We knew not from where they came, nor to where they have now gone; but the Omarian’s are forever indebted for their courageous acts.
—Minister Vilina of Omar

As much as is known the order maintained little involvement with outside worlds, however there have been reports of a mysterious band of Jedi, believed to have been the Arrack Order, that were involved in several missions outside the Joreki system. One such mission was the deliverance of the Omarian’s of the planet Omar. Although it is not fully known how knowledge of this mysterious order came to be, some speculation exists that suggests some of the exiled Jedi who formed the Arrack Order communed with a select minority of their past comrades on Coruscant through visions and dreams. It is thought that they’re knowledge was shared amongst a small number of Jedi on Coruscant in hope of witnessing their beliefs, and that over many years this information was passed onto others. It is believed the Arrack Order mysteriously vanished six hundred years before the formation of the Galactic Empire; all information surrounding their disappearance was vague, consisting of unconfirmed reports with little to no physical evidence giving clue to their obscurity. One such account is said to exist that claims the Sith Lord Darth Vader visited the Arrack outpost briefly before reporting its destruction, as was issued by Emperor Palpatine.
