Ord Zathuun was a planet in the Daimar sector.
History[]
It was settled in 11,302 BBY as a military outpost for the Galactic Republic. The city of Kerrsh immediately sprang up and several farming villages grew across the world. In 7,013 BBY, several thousand Klorrean refugees settled on Ord Zathuun. By 4,000 BBY the city of Benk had surpassed Kerrsh in population but it never became the cultural center of the planet. In 2,389 BBY, an influx of refugees caused crime rates to reach their highest in the planet's history.
During the Cold War, several Imperial Agents descended on the planet in an attempt to force a civil war similar to the ones they incited on several other Ordnance/Regional Depot worlds. A team of four Jedi Knights was able to promote peace and root out some of the agents.
In 715 BBY the Kerrsh Historical Galaxy Museum was built as a gift from the Caamasi, but it was destroyed during the Clone Wars.
Ord Zathuun was fought over early in the Clone Wars for about three months and then the Republic proved victorious. However, the CIS sent several agents to the world to terrorize the Republic-loyal population. In 20 BBY the Confederacy retook the planet until the end of the war.
Sometime later, probably around 13 BBY Emperor Palpatine constructed a new Kerrsh Historical Galaxy Museaum next to the ruins of the old one. He used the construction as a front to put a secret vault that ran from the basement of the ruined museum out into the mountainous outskirts of Kerrsh.
In 12 ABY the planet gained membership in the New Republic.
