Op

An Op was a popular piece of equipment used by many people, mainly higher ranking residents of Coruscant. Ops could do a variety of things, mainly stuff that helped to keep the peace on Coruscant. Because of the potential misuse of Ops, they were not sold to the public. Only trusted Coruscant officials were given them, though criminals were known to occasionally get their hands on an Op. Ops were easily seen, and so any criminal who managed to get an Op usually acted quickly with them. Once they were discovered to have Ops, an official quickly deactivated their Op. Since Ops were so visible, officials were encouraged not to carry their Ops around with them, though some did anyways.
