Glory to Emperor! Glory to the Empire!
—Standard patriotic chant

The One Sith Empire, also referred to simply as the Sith Empire, was formed from the remains of its predecessor at its destruction near the events of the Second Great Galactic War. A small planet called Jizen was claimed as the capital before the return to Dromund Kaas under the rule of Darth Tenix. Many years later, Darth Krayt went to Korriban and stuck down the new Sith Emperor and remade the Empire. The Empire eventually fell, being survived by loyalists to Darth Krayt.

History[]

Government and politics[]

The Emperor[]

Long live the Emperor.
—Rynus Craze, Minister of War

In the Empire, the Emperor held total power, even though the Dark Council members held authority, their rule could be overruled by the Emperor if he pleased. However, his position could be challenged by a Sith Lord with high status to a duel to the death for control of the Empire and the Sith Order. The Emperor's successor was otherwise his Voice/Regent or, presuming the Regent's death, by election through the Dark Council. Loyal agents known as Hands, the commander-in-chief of the armed forces, known as the Imperial Fist (Formally the Emperor's Wrath), new ministers, judges, and successors to dead Dark Councilors were all appointed by the Emperor. The Emperor was also Dark Lord of the Sith and thus leader of the Sith Order.

The Dark Council[]

The Dark Council served as a legislative body for the whole Empire. In addition, each member of the Dark Council served as the head executive within their own ministry. Each member received a personal estate and a say in Empire-wide legislation. However, the nonSith minister that served under them was appointed directly by the Emperor or the Regent, thus checking the Dark Councilor's power.

Society and culture[]

Sith and non-Sith[]

As a general matter, Sith were a privileged class in society. However, Sith were scattered across the military hierarchy based on their own rank, with only the members of the Dark Council outranking the entirety of military officers.

Slavery[]

Slavery was a common amongst the Empire. They were made mostly of prisoners of war, people of conquered planets, or any foe of the Empire. They were used manly for mining, construction, and mass-production, however it wasn't uncommon for Sith or rich nonSith to have house or ship slaves.

Anti-Jedi Sentiment[]

Anti Jediism was highly common throughout the Empire, being spread by Sith news outlets and artistic organizations. Much of anti-Jedi sentiment was created by blaming the Jedi for isolation that created paranoia and led to poverty among common subjects and citizens.

Anti-alien Sentiment[]

Humanism and preference for those of Sith blood gradually moved from the general sentiment to more fringe sentiments between the imperial founding and the end of Krayt's reign.

Militarism[]

The Empire made any contribution to war highly honorable throughout the Empire.

Sith tattoos[]

Sith tattoos were worn by much of the new Sith under Krayt's reign to show loyalty to the him.
