OOM-90, later known in its rebuilt form as "Pika's Saviour", was a legendary droid hero who initially served for the Trade Federation, and later the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. When we was built, he was unintentionally put in a circuit that caused him to not be controlled by a Droid Control Ship, due to a shortage in supplies. He was built for use to lead battle droid soldiers at the Battle of Geonosis and various other battles of the Clone Wars. However, around 21 BBY, he was assigned to lead a second battle on the planet. As he led troops to the enemy, the droid and his battilon were struck by a sandstorm during the battle. Unable to move due to the incredible power of the storm, OOM-90 shut himself down permanently along with his other droid comrades.
A year after the battle, Pikachuian scouts found the droid's remains under Geonosis's sandy deserts. Feeling that the droid would be useful, the scouts recovered the parts and returned to the planet Pika. The cheiftain Raichu, instead of considering it dangerous, decided to reprogram the droid with a special droid chip he spent two years creating. Instead of being rebuilt, he was given major changes to his body, with more superior (though identical) armor, making it difficult to penetrate even with a lightsaber, and his droid hands were rebuilt to be handled more efficiently.
After his completion, OOM-90 created a squad of battle droids that would later become the Pika Droid Army. His superior thinking and skills helped the Pikachus endure enslavement from the then-fledging Galactic Empire.
