Nu-Limb Augmentations was a company that produced cybernetic limbs and implants. It was a subsidiary of Neuro-Saav Corporation and was headquartered on Denon.
History[]
Nu-Limb Augmentations was founded sometime during the High Republic era by Kordis Veers, a transhumanist scientist and an ancestor of Maximilian Veers. It was bought out by Neuro-Saav Corporation in around 75 BBY.
The company came to popularity among bounty hunters and mercenaries, who sought out Nu-Limb Augmentations' cybernetic implants that enhanced their combat capabilities. Seeking to gain foothold in the civilian medical market, Nu-Limb Augmentations began producing civilian cybernetics which were used in the replacement of damaged or lost limbs.
During the Clone Wars, Nu-Limb Augmentations was contracted by the Grand Army of the Republic to provide cybernetics to injured clone troopers. Such an example was Commander CC-3636, or "Wolffe", who was fitted with a prototype cybernetic eye from Nu-Limb Augmentations following an encounter with Separatist dark acolyte Asajj Ventress. Following the war, the company attempted to retain its contract with the Imperial Military, though failed to do so and returned to providing implants and cybernetics to both civilians and criminals alike.
