Nova Phoenix, also known as the Phoenix of Kavros or, in a derogatory sense, Rackis' Folly, was the personal flagship of Imperial admiral Tal Rackis of Kavros. Under his command, it became the flagship of the Eleventh Outer Rim Fleet and, following the Imperial defeat over Endor, it became the flagship of the new Kavrosi Navy of Tal's Kavrosi Collective. The ship was specially-commissioned by Tal from Cybe Drives as the Nova-class Super Star Destroyer, and, following traditional Kavrosii naming conventions, it was named Nova Phoenix; in more typical naming elsewhere in the galaxy, the ship would have been named Phoenix Nova. The ship was commissioned by Tal in anticipation of the fact that he was unlikely to otherwise receive his own Star Dreadnought, but wanted (largely for his own egotistiscal reasons) to be able to match such a ship with his own fleet.
