Absom Lich, known as the Gravelord, was a Pure-blooded Sith Lord and dark side warlock who reigned as a king in the Outer Rim Territories during the Blight for over 500 years. A conqueror and cultist leader, Lich destroyed civilizations and subjugated entire sectors as a means to cement himself as a god. Absom was feared the galaxy over for many reasons, none more so than for his experiments and the army of abominations that were spawned from them. Lich's half-millennia reign of terror was finally ended when he was felled at the Battle for the Light by Ro Azon.
After his defeat, Lich's body was preserved and entombed on his secret redoubt, Umber Loc. It was there that, for many thousands of years, his body was guarded faithfully by generations of the Red Hand until the efforts of the witch Ulla Fey saw him resurrected into a powerful, near-immortal being. Having returned to the realm of the living, Absom Lich raised an army of undead warriors and launched a renewed war on the galaxy, intending to destroy all life and replace them with the living dead.
