Noran Raun was a human male Jedi Master of the New Jedi Order.
Biography[]
Born to decorated Imperial officers, Noran Raun was orphaned at the age of nine when his parents were executed for suspected treason. In order to avoid being taken away by the Empire for indoctrination, Noran stowed away on a freighter departing for Socorro, where he fell in with a crew of smugglers. Despite his young age, Noran proved quite successful, making a name for himself even at the age of thirteen. This success was owed partially to Noran's dormant Force-sensitivity, which provided him with a good amount of "luck." Noran was aware of his "gift" and what it meant and did everything in his power to avoid being found by the Empire.
After over ten years of smuggling, Noran decided to find a different path for himself. Having heard word of the Jedi Order's restoration, he traveled to Yavin 4 and attended the Jedi Praxeum. He was soon transferred to Nyriaan, where he trained under the old Jedi Master Tighe Nomante. Upon ascending to the rank of knight, Noran took on an apprentice of his own, passing on his knowledge to the Rattataki female Valisa Tor. Noran was soon granted the rank of Master as well as a position on the Jedi Council.
