Sir Niximot Grundo SOP KOD was a male Colorrb. He was a hero of his native Ekshi for his role in bringing down the tyranny of the Consul Vessyk, and was Ekshi's first Tribune.

Biography[]

The tyrant[]

Born in 97 ABY, Niximot was old enough to understand his world's incorporation into the Golden Empire in 108 ABY. He shared the curious nature of most Colorrbiz, and was excited by the prospects. By the time the Centurion Vessyk was appointed Consul of Ekshi in 121 ABY, Niximot was working as an entry-level customs officer at the capital spaceport.

Vessyk's slow curtailing of the rights of the people were not immediately noticeable to Niximot, although he had some misgivings about the state's purchase of all media. Vessyk's takeover of the spaceports came as a surprise; he installed his own men as guards, officers, and administrators, and fired all the natives. With few comparable opportunities for his skills, Niximot became a factory worker at a repulsor assembly plant.

The stranglehold of the government continued, and Vessyk formed his own private gendarmerie and, according to rumors, a secret police force as well. Niximot was devastated; Vessyk claimed many of his harshest decrees had been imposed by Queen Rin Sakaros herself, and were thus utterly beyond defiance by any citizen or Consul. In 126 ABY, a friend of Niximot's spoke out in protest over the excessive taxes imposed on his district; that night he disappeared, along with his wife and two small children. Many Colorrbiz were certain Vessyk was behind the kidnappings, and Niximot began to wonder what could be done to stop him.

In 127 ABY, a district which had protested Vessyk's taxation burned to the ground, and emergency response crews did not react. Many whispered that Vessyk had ordered the mass murder of the district's residents, and this time Niximot acted. Breaking into a secure communication station, he managed to contact the Sith Star and begged a thoroughly surprised Rin Sakaros to at least relax some of "her" most burdensome decrees. Before she could reply, Vessyk's guards broke in and dragged Niximot away.

The Tribune[]

The Colorrb was tortured in a political prison, enduring beatings, whippings, and electric shocks, as well as deprivation of food and sleep. However, he had set in motion what became the "Cleansing of Ekshi". Rin journeyed to Ekshi with a strike team of Centurions and personally executed Vessyk by Kasshralhyot. She and her agents liberated Vessyk's political prisoners, including Niximot, who was treated for his injuries by Tillandra Moraes herself.

Realizing the deficiency in her governmental plan and the possibility for other such dictatorships, Rin amended the Charter of the Golden Empire to include the office of Tribune, an elected representative of the people who would report directly to the Sovereign, apart from the Consul. Though the position required election, Rin expressed her confidence that the Colorrbiz would not hesitate to elect Niximot, who had braved torture and the possibility of death to alert her. Her "prediction" was born out, and a thoroughly surprised Niximot was elected Tribune in a landslide vote.

Niximot worked closely with the new Consul, Eskol Kaartinen, in rebuilding Ekshi, and spent a great deal of time amongst the people, gathering their views to report to Kaartinen and Rin. The length of his Tribunate is unknown, though he served several terms. He was made a Knight of the Order of Distinction for exposing Vessyk's treachery, and later a Superior of the Order of the Phoenix for his contributions to rebuilding Ekshi.
