Luke Skywalker: “She is more than you think, Colonel. She is one of the best Jedi we have.”
―A discussion over one of Nima Tualin's missions against Cail's Empire, 9 ABY
Nima Tualin (16 BBY – 10 ABY) was a female Twi'lek Jedi Knight that was a member of the New Jedi Order during the Galactic Civil War. She was one of the most prominent Knights of the Order, and at the time of her death was revered as a skilled lightsaber duelist.
Tualin was born on the planet of Ryloth in 16 BBY, and grew up learning both her native language and Galactic Basic Standard. After the Battle of Yavin, she was discovered to be Force-sensitive by Luke Skywalker, and later on was trained for a brief period by him. She was well known by other members of the Order for having been largely a self-taught Jedi, traveling to many planets to uncover the old texts and training traditions of the Jedi to improve her knowledge and skill in the use of the Force and her lightsaber.
In 10 ABY, she was on a major mission to Firrerre with Jedi Masters Guld Neros and Diona Brishen, along with their two padawans. At the same time, the Infinite Empire of the Sith attacked the planet, revealing themselves to the wider known galaxy. The five Jedi then engaged, at various points in time, Darth Xyster in combat. Tualin was slain in single combat, after an extended period fighting Xyster on her own, while attempting to defend the hangar of the Golan SpaceGun she was on.

Powers and abilities[]
Tualin was widely known as one of the best lightsaber duelists in the Jedi Order. She was regarded as a master of Form II (Makashi), and was highly skilled in the use of Form V (Shien). Other Jedi, particularly Jedi Masters, took note of her speed with her single yellow-bladed lightsaber, with one remarking as if she were fighting with two instead of one.
Tualin was a notable user of Force heal, able to heal all but the most serious wounds. She was also a practitioner of both Electric Judgement – which was highly controversial – and tutaminis.
