Nievar was a frigid planet located in the Niev system of the Outer Rim Territories. It was the homeworld of the Near-Human Nevarite species but was also a Muun colony that served as the center of InterGalactic Banking Clan operations in the Western Reaches.

Early in the Clone Wars, Nievar was invaded by the Confederacy of Independent Systems so that the Nievar Banking Clan could directly fund the Separatists. Later in the war, the planet was the site of the Battle of Nievar.
