The Nathanites or Lrikis were descendants of a group of Human colonists who had settled the planet Lriki One and lost the ability to travel in space. They became an offshoot of humanity, eventually evolving into a harder form, so as to protect themselves from specific environmental dangers of Lriki One.

History[]

After years of solitude, they became contaminated after the accidental introduction of Nathaniel Kenobi Solo's exploits to them via an entrepreneur's crash-landing there in 553 ABY. He had been a fan of the Jedi, more particularly the Kenobi Solos. He had collected all knowledge of them in holocrons, most knowledge taken legally, others illegally.

The inhabitants were awed and amazed by the depictions of Nathan given by the entrepreneur, named Qud'e. When all of the holocrons had been viewed, the populace demanded more, so he concocted some. When they learned of the deception, they killed him and took all of his belongings and eventually learned how to travel in space.

They modeled their ships after the old designs of the Sith Order of Decreto. Since, they had been some of the only ships that even their Avenger of the Peoples could not defeat.

They renamed their race and struck at the people of the Galaxy, viewed by their Avenger as evil. They started with the Hutts, as they were the closest in proximity to them.

The Hutts fell to their might, as they had been devastated along with the rest of the Galaxy during the Dark Age. They then struck the Ssi-Ruuvi, who had nearly killed the wife of the Avenger, a crime punishable by death. The Ssi-Ruuvi fled, though, and were not seen for hundreds of years.

This was when the Jedi became involved. Jedi Knight Skettiur Kenobi Solo and his Master a Caamasi named Nuto A'Kla offered to have a peace meeting with the Nathanites. The Council granted them that request.

The Nathanites demanded one thing, and one thing only: they wanted Nathan's holocron, a repository of his teachings and exploits. Such a thing was unheard of, but the Jedi began to think of a new way to end the problem.
