The outcome of the war is in our hands; the outcome of words is in the Senate.
—Nathaneiqua Adarak

Nathaneiqua Adarak was born on the planet Arkania and served as a Republic general after the Great Sovereign Crusades. Nathaneiqua was an Arkanian outcast, an Arkanian whose genetic makeup was completely unique to any other Arkanian. In Arkanian culture, these offshoots were considered unwanted and inferior, and were the source of most Arkanian prejudice. Nathan(which is what he is called by most) was forced to grow a tough skin if he was to survive on Arkania.

Nathan grew up fending for himself, and he developed a great desire to leave his homeworld. Which is why he joined the Galactic Republic. He wanted to get away from the prejudice that plagued him on Arkania. He joined the Republic at the earliest possible age, eighteen, and left his homeworld without a second thought. He served within the Republic's military for many years, touring the galaxy, fighting evil, restoring peace, making it a better place. The idealized duties of a Republic soldier. In reality, he lived in the cramped barracks of the military cannon fodder.

Most of the time he ran through drill after mindless drill, until he could perform them in his sleep, and the few times when he saw actual combat, it was nothing like he imagined. The recruiters seemed to conveniently leave out what happens when you step on a hidden mine, or what it's like to see men all around you fall to the ground, dead in midair. Nonetheless, it was better than what he would have received had he stayed on Arkania. And he would admit that all his service did wonders for him. Throughout the years, Nathan grew and developed into a strong, proud man. He became a proud soldier, climbing the ranks to the top through numerous heroic deeds, and outstanding victories. He was measured on his merit and statistics, and he had been marked for outstanding service.

History[]

Life on Arkania[]

Life for Nathaneiqua was tough, to say the least. The subject of endless bullying and prejudice from children and adults alike. His eighteen years on Arkania marked by a tough, violent adolescent, who quickly learned the only way to survive as an outcast was to take everything, and give nothing. Later in life, he would realize that it was because of this that he made such an excellent general. Nathaneiqua's parents were typical Arkanians. Both were brilliant scientists, experimenting on gene therapy and modification. It was to their utmost horror that they were the parents of an offshoot baby. It was their decision, that instead of bearing the humiliation of such a child, that they would give him to the orphanage.

The orphanages on Arkania, at least when it was the home for outcasts, were little more than glamorized prisons. The faculty constantly beat the children, and used fear to keep them in line. Nobody actually would admit it, but Nathan believed that they used such harsh means out of fear. The outcasts were completely new to Arkanians, and no one knew exactly what they were capable of. Xenophobia reversed. The orphanage that Nathan lived in was far away from the rest of the Arkanian populace. There he developed an understanding of fear tactics, and the value of having allies. It was strange, no matter how much training Nathan went through, he will tell you that it was at the orphanage that he became General material.

At thirteen years of life, Arkanian orphans are allowed to leave the orphanage for short periods. At first, Nathan was ecstatic, and eager to see the rest of his planet. Quickly, however, the elation turned to dread, as he learned how deep the distrust and hate for outcasts ran. It seemed that wherever he went, he was given looks of disgust and disdain. Eventually, Nathan learned that these outings were to remind them of their place in the world. This didn't settle well with Nathan, and he turned these outings into little missions. Get away from his escort long enough to learn about the particular town or city. Over a number of years, Nathan had enough knowledge of the surrounding area and the galaxy abroad, that he risked running.

Nathan was seventeen when he ran. During his weekly tour of the city, he made his traditional run from the guards, but this time, he knew exactly where he was heading. A small store on the outskirts of town, where he pilfered a set of clothes and some credits. The orphans were marked by the clothes they wore, once they had discarded these clothes, at least in Nathan's case, they were indistinguishable from regular Arkanians. With nothing but the clothes on his back and three hundred credits, Nathan set out on the next transport that docked in town. He slowly but surely made it to the Core, with his final destination Coruscant. There he enlisted post haste with the military and started his new life.

The Republic[]

Safely out of the reach of the Arkanians, for the moment, at least, Nathan enlisted with the Republic. Having planned this for a number of years, he was quick enough and knowledgeable enough to be shipped off to boot camp. He fled to Coruscant, where he successfully disappeared within the ecumenopolis. For about five months he hid in the lower levels, creating a new identity to help him escape the Arkanians chasing him. Eventually, he made his way to the Republic recruiting station, where he was enlisted and sent away to be trained. He was sent to Kashyyyk, where he was oriented into the military, serving about six months in an orientation facility, before being was shipped off to the small moon designated Luna-Minor 6.

The Republic proved to be a cold mother. He was stripped of his current ideals while in orientation, being ‘refitted’ as they called it, with a soldier’s mentality. He began with getting killing out of the way. It would be common place on the battlefield, and the Republic couldn’t run the risk of its soldiers losing it on the battlefield. As such, they also dealt with the common occurrence of a friend dying in battle. The first thing they were taught. If he’s down, he’s as good as dead. If you stop, you’ll be too. Nathan had little trouble situating himself in the new mentality. He had few liberties on Arkania, and he had become detached from others on a very personal level.

When he was shipped off to Luna-Minor 6, Nathan had been conditioned as a soldier, and was ready to begin his real military training. Where he would learn all the dirty little details of how to kill someone more effectively. The orientation was a vacation compared to the hell he was walking into. The Republic had sent him to Luna-Minor 6 for a number of reasons. He was a very stubborn individual, but had incredible skill and potential. The Republic wished to utilize him in the military, but he needed to be obedient. The moon-base was just the remedy. It pumped out fine soldiers all the time, and broke those stubborn wills easily.

The time he spent on that small moon orbiting the Wookiee world was tough, and they had little liberties while there. However, they were trained excellently. Luna Minor-6 had a brutal reputation, but it also had a knack for producing some of the best soldiers in the galaxy. Nathan spent most of his boot-camp years on the moon, with short field training on the Kashyyyk surface.

The moon hung in a low synchronous rotation orbit over Kashyyyk, and most of the interior was converted into the massive military station. The station served as a last stand against any invasion, and the recruits also played the roll of running the more rudimentary systems of the station. They were tested on their ability to react to simulated attacks, and how well they behaved under stress.

Luna-Minor 6[]

Luna-Minor 6

The central spire of Luna-Minor 6.

The Republic facility of Luna-Minor 6 was a brutal place. Built into a gapping fissure on Kashyyyk's larger moon, it was where Nathan learned all the nasty secrets of war, and where he turned into a soldier of this great Republic. The endless tunnels and rooms that made up the facility was Nathan's home for four years, and by the end of his training, he felt as much disdain for it as he had for Arkania.

Nathan's sectional officer was a nasty Dashade by the name of Belos Sa. Belos was a brutal officer, well-known for his harsh training regiments and his archaic punishments. But, he got the job done, and he was fiercely loyal to the Republic. Belos would say that Nathan was his most strenuous recruit. it came from his life on Arkanian. Nathan would fight Belos on every level, disobeying him. By the end of his four years, Nathan had been to the confinement cells more times than any other recruit in the history of Luna-Minor 6's operation.

Over the years he was trained, he made it to Kashyyyk for pleasure only a few times. The rest were forays into the darker pits of the planet; But never to the Shadowlands, that would be suicide. On one such foray, Nathan and a small group of fellow recruits were sent very close to the surface. Belos Sa thought to test them on their sheer skill. The creatures they met down their were nightmarish, and it accumulated in the meeting of the deadly Wyyyschokk. Nathan and his group were forewarned about the deadly creatures they would meet, and if they were to ever meet these spiders, to flee.

One of the recruits thought to impress his superiors, and attacked the creature, provoking it to attack. Within minutes almost all of the group had been killed by the deadly hunter, and it seemed Nathan’s life was at an end. The gods must have smiled on him this day, for the mighty spider was felled by a Wookiee guardian, Chalbukk Gaarkyysh. He had been following the group at a distance, to ensure something like this didn’t happen. However, the Wyyschokk was to fast, and by the time Chalbukk had reached the group, only Nathan and one other was left alive. Chalbukk escorted the two up to the higher levels then, and brought them to Belos Sa, were they explained what happened. Belos was infuriated, and punished Nathan and the other for letting their team down. However, once word of Belos’ suicidal excursion reached the Republic’s ear, he was stripped of all rank and charged with the murder of sixteen.

While on the Maggot Moon, Nathan met Maila Montanya, a fellow recruit and rule breaker. Both knew the value of allies, and with so much at stake, at least in a recruit's eyes, they saw the worth of befriending each other. So they did, and they worked together and made quite a name for themselves. They worked so well together, that Belos and other Seniors recommended they become a team of sorts. Nathan was more of the straight forward fighter, using speed and power to destroy the enemy. Maila, on the other hand, was what the Republic informally called a Ghost. Someone who used deceit and stealth to infiltrate and take out a facility with minimal fighting. The combination of stealth and power would be formidable indeed. So, when they were promoted, they were set up as a FireGhost team.

Hoth infiltration[]
Hoth Infiltration

Nathan and Maila fleeing Hoth under hot pursuit.

Nathan's initial service was full of action. As one of only six FireGhost teams in the Republic, Nathan was only sent on the most important missions. These missions were often deemed top secret, and were never fully recorded in the Republic database. Most missions the FireGhost's undertook were to volatile in nature to allow any records of them. By the time he was twenty-four, Nathan and Maila had been on a total of eighty-two missions. Some of these missions took them deep within Mandalorian space, with nothing but a small military ship and an objective. The rest of the mission was the FireGhost's decision. This meant that Nathan and Maila were allowed to work at maximum capacity, not needing to worry about how they were supposed to complete the mission. They just needed to complete it.

One of their toughest missions was code-named Hot-Ice. A number of smugglers had taken up with some vicious mercenaries, and had effectively taken complete control of Hoth, right from under the Republic's nose. Obviously the Republic couldn't admit such weakness in their fringe planets, so they sent Nathan and Maila in to liberate the planet and to get rid of the problem. Naturally, they sent a FireGhost team in, with a supplement of troops and equipment. They were to infiltrate the ranks of the Hoth Mercenaries, and take them out silently, from the inside.

The mission started out on a bad foot. The troops and equipment they had requisitioned were not ready. Of the one hundred troops they were supposed to have, only twenty were ready. Of the equipment they asked for, only half of it was there. Some of the most crucial equipment, their fitted cargo ship and smuggling gear was very amateur at best. But, like any good FireGhost team, they made do with what they had.

The infiltration was a success. They managed to pass themselves off as a small band of smugglers, who were looking to get in on the action on Hoth. Aside from a little scrutiny at their ship and gear, they were allowed in, and they set up shop in one of the Smuggler's dens, an old water supply depot called Center-25. After a quick background check, Nathan and Maila were brought to the Boss, a former Rear Admiral of the Republic. An aging man, Boss, which is the only name they knew him by, was well built and very intelligent. However, even his careful scrutinizing raised no red flags over Nathan or Maila. As such, they were granted full roam over Center-25 and its facilities.

Over the course of a few months, Nathan and Maila slowly gained recognition among the smuggler ring, at the same time learning about the defenses and personnel. One of their main objectives were to tap the communication relays and open up back doors across the security systems, leaving them wide open to a Republic cyber assault. It was long and tedious work, not fitting for a FireGhost team. At least that's what Maila believed. However, it was not their right to dictate which missions were worthy of their attention.

One night, while Nathan and Maila were asleep, one of the men assigned to them was caught drunk at the cantina. It wouldn't have been a problem if this particular soldier didn't develop a loose tongue when drunk on Bantha Blasters. Yep, in almost incoherent babble, their entire cover was blown. Ten minutes latter they were met with a battalion of armed soldiers, demanding they go to Boss. They had little choice in the matter, so they agreed; Both knowing they probably would never make it out alive. Boss was sitting behind a long table, tall back chairs crawled along the sides, with two pulled out, opposite each other. Silently the two took their seats, and prepared for the gunshots. They didn't come.

Boss wanted answers, and for hours, they were interrogated, speaking only when spoken to, pistol whipped when not. But they didn't break. They didn't reveal why they were there, or what exactly they were. Of course they answered him, but they only gave Boss the answers that would please him, and keep them from as much harm as possible. Eventually, they were allowed to go, if under heavy guard, back to their quarters.

For hours they sat silently, contemplating what course of action they could take. They could try and fight, clear a path to the docks. But that would be risky. They already tried convincing Boss that the soldier spewed drunken nonsense, but he didn't believe that. In the end, they decided they would try and make it to a comm-relay and send a message to the Republic. All the doors were open for them, all they needed was to knock.

They came up with a simple plan. They'd call on the Republic to send in the strike force, get Boss and everyone else confused, and in the midst of the battle steal some fighters and hightail it out of their. After they got away and sent the call out, they gathered all the equipment they could use and prepared for the arduous fight to the docks. A few hours latter, the signs of battle rang in the air, and they began their fight.

Nathan was wounded half way to the docks, shot in the shoulder. Maila had to take the brunt of the fighting from there one. By the time they had made it to the docks, only eleven of the twenty soldiers with them had made it. Even less would make it off the planet.

They managed to get out of the docks and into the dog-fighting above. It seemed a Republic ship had attached to the aerial tower of Center-25, and was the source of much combat. Flying in a standard Republic form, they made their way higher and higher into the atmosphere, trying to find an open connection to the Republic ship above. Once on the ship, they explained of the explosives scattered throughout the complex, and that they had rigged them to blow once Nathan and Maila had achieved a certain distance from the center. If they left, the place would blow, and no one would have to know of the Republic's screw up. Quickly entering hyperspace, Nathan and Maila relaxed for the first time in over a month. The mission was a success, and they were looking forward to some serious down-time.

Disbanding of the FireGhosts[]
FireGhost

Example of a typical FireGhost team.

After three years working with Maila as a FireGhost, news of the secret operatives leaked to the public, and the enemy. It wouldn't have been a big problem, if the FireGhost's were only sent on missions involving the enemy. Sadly, nearly half of all FireGhost missions were focused on internal affairs. When the Republic couldn't publicly say they interfered, the FireGhost's would be sent in. A torrent of angry Senators and other officials threatened to leave the Republic if the FireGhosts weren't disbanded. The Republic couldn't afford for these planets to leave them, so they disbanded the FireGhosts, and destroyed all evidence of their existence. It was then that Maila and Nathan were separated, much against their will, and placed in regular military companies.

The short time, about twenty years, that the FireGhosts were active saw some of the most intense Republic intervention in times of ‘official’ peace, and those included in its activities had become security risks. When on missions, they were allowed almost unparalleled access to secure documents, military equipment, and other things of interest. If any of this information happened to reach the hands of the enemy, then the Republic could face a very real threat of major deconstruction, from the inside out. As such, the FireGhosts were placed within special divisions of the military, and were watched at all times. Every account of every day would be filed and reviewed, to ensure they didn’t divulge the many secrets they knew. Nathan and Maila were watched even more so. They were split, and every effort to keep them from meeting or communicating in any way was implemented. They posed the most danger, even though they were two of the Republics most prized operatives.

For roughly a year, Nathan and Maila lived their respective lives without any contact or communication. They met by complete chance(and to the dismay of officials) on Naboo. Their companies had been sent to quell a small uprising in a small farming community just outside of the capital. Most of the time they spent their time patrolling the city. A waste of Republic funding. During the three week stay, Nathan and Maila were inseparable, nether one of them realizing how much the other meant to them, until they were forced apart. Over the those three weeks, they begrudgingly admitted to the long developing romance between them.

The FireGhosts, as a precaution, didn’t know any other team. And no one knew exactly how many teams there were. It is known that at least one team had gone rogue after the disbanding. The team fled Republic space and into the Unknown Regions. Nathan learned of this through one of his underground sources. Even though he no longer had the authority, he kept in contact with his FireGhost contacts, many of which were criminals and other convicts. He would keep an eye on the Republic just as they kept an eye on him. Over time, he learned of the other teams, and their current activities. Most had left the Republic, living as citizens in the numerous planets. However, a small number still were active. When Nathan had climbed through the ranks, he contacted them, and formed a similar group as before.

Rising through the ranks[]

Over the course of only two years, Nathan spiraled through the ranks of the Republic all the way to Colonel. His exploits as a FireGhost, although not officially recognized, played a large part in this fast advancement. He served as Colonel for four years, before the First Battle of Onderon, which initiated the Republic into the Great Sovereign Crusades. He left Maila in his tracks. After her time as a FireGhost, normal military life was comparably dull. She went into a stagnant state, where she sought no advancement. Over time, she did climb the ladder of command, but never at the speed or to the lengths as Nathan. In the end, she quit active service altogether, taking up a military desk job.

Onderon battle

Mandalorian ships descending on Onderon.

The first battle of the war was gruesome for Nathan. During the battle, he and his company were attacked from all sides as they tried to hold one of the last planetary defense turrets still controlled by the Republic. His company was cut off from the rest of the soldiers within the city of Iziz, and they were quickly overrun with Mandalorian troops. They had barricaded themselves within the turret’s control room, where they held the enemy off for as long as possible. They kept the turret operational for quite some time, and inflicted sizable damage to the Mandalorian ships in the sky, but ultimately had to retreat through the underground tunnels carved out years before.

The escape to the docks wasn’t easy. The tunnels, after only a short while, had collapsed. The only two options they had were to go back and meet death, or risk it up on the streets. Not willing to give up so easily, he led his company up onto the streets, where they crawled along the alleys to the docks. They encountered numerous obstacles, from collapsed buildings, to Mandalorian troopers. They engaged in urban guerrilla-combat against the Mandalorians, always moving on before reinforcements arrived. The dangerous maneuvers caught the Mandalorians off-guard, and they managed to make it largely unscathed to the docks, where numerous ships were retreating from the scarred planet. Nathan was most reluctant to leave, not wanting to lose his first ‘real’ engagement.

Nathan returned to Coruscant relatively unscathed, save for the psychological turmoil of the Republic having lost it’s firs major battle. However, he had gained the praise of his higher ups, and throughout the rest of the war, showed his intelligence and battle savvy mind. He witnessed many comrades die in battle, and for quite some time, fought in losing battles. Not for some time did he witness victory first hand. He did not even witness the entire battle, he was caught in the crossfire and severely injured. In fact, he almost succumbed to his wounds.

He eventually gained the praise of Supreme Chancellor Cos Jonathan Dashin. And after a revue of Nathan's career, he was granted the honor of serving as General of the Galactic Republic. At first reluctant, Nathan quickly grew accustomed to the new title, realizing that at heart he was still just a soldier. If one with a much larger pay-grade. No great feats of skill or bravery would be seen from General Adarak, though, for by the time he was promoted, the Crusades had ended, and the Republic had returned to relative peace.

Away from the military[]

Nathaneiqua Adarak was much like any other soldiers. Most of his time was spent serving with the Republic, or in the local cantina while on shore leave. In many ways, Nathan was your typical soldier. Hard edged, enduring, he commands respect and gives respect to those who deserve it. He was well known for his strict command, and his punishments were... inventive. Boisterous, but not arrogant, Nathan was the embodiment of a soldier. When he was truly left to himself, he was a completely different man. An incredibly humble man around his family, unable to use his Republic title to lean upon, he is surprisingly awkward.

The relationship Nathan had with Maila was something he secretly held close. He had secret feelings of love for the woman who had saved him so many times. They were close comrades for so many years, he feared showing his feelings for her. However, he eventually professed his love to Maila, and was met with mutual feelings. His love for Maila grew and developed quickly. They were going to make sure they would never be separated again, and after the ‘crisis’ on Naboo, they both took a short leave.

Nathan and Maila married in a small ceremony at Broadberry Meadow in the capital of Naboo, Theed. The ceremony was held so the final kiss would coincide with the setting sun, setting over the meadow’s river. Their honeymoon was also on Dantooine. They had bought a small Villa in the countryside, and they spent a quite week together.

Nathan and Maila lived together from then on, when they weren’t called for military duty, of course. They would stay in contact with each other when on duty, and Nathan used his contacts in the military to ensure Maila was safe. Even though this perturbed Maila to know end, Nathan would not see it any other way. She was far to important to him to loose her.

They had two children together, twins. They named the boy Travin and the girl Lannara. The two children were doted on by their parents. Maila was forced to give up her military life to raise Travin and Lannara, while Nathan continued his work with the Republic. The couple was young, Nathan being twenty six and Maila only twenty two, and they had their fair share of parent troubles. The twins were discovered by the Jedi as force sensitive, and taken to the enclave on Dantooine. Nathan was reluctant and his wife was down right against it, but in the end they realized it was to dangerous to keep them from the Jedi. The allure of the dark side was strong in youths.

Travin and Lannara were taken when they were four years old, and for many years, Nathan and Maila had little to no contact with their children. It was the blasted Jedi’s beliefs that the parents interfered with the child’s progression. Nathan pulled strings constantly, and put pressure on the Jedi to allow them visitation once they were sixteen. The Jedi were reluctant, but they nonetheless agreed. Travin and Lannara had grown strong in the force over the years, but had yet to be taken on as padawans. It became apparent that the two were close. They acted like the usual brother and sister, but they would easily stop bickering at a moments notice.

Returning to war[]

Nathan’s respite from the toils of military life couldn’t last forever. It began with the simplest attack on the Sith occupied planet of Coruscant. A Mandalorian ship, loaded to the brink with explosives crashed into the surface, launching the warrior clans into battle with the Sith. The Republic was also brought into the fighting. Battles were fought with no winner: Bilbringi, Selvaris, Hoth. All indecisive. Not until Dantooine did the Republic see victory. A Sith retreat, and the Republic had Dantooine back. The Jedi were able to return to their beloved enclave.

The Battle of Dantooine was short but fierce. The battle was made symbolic to an extent due to the presence of the Galactic Republic Supreme Chancellor Cos Jonathan Dashin and the Dark Lord Nexus, the leader of the Order of the Sith. The two sides fought in a fierce space battle, with the Sith blocking the Republic from the planet, using cluster tactics; In which numerous fighters pestered the Republic frigates, while the main body of the two fleets played the waiting game. It was not long before the Sith lost the patience and charged, falling into the trap the Republic had set. A brutal assault of all Republic ships pelted the Sith fleet, crippling half of their fleet. The fighting did not continue long, as the Dark Lord quickly ordered a full retreat, abandoning the grassy planet of Dantooine.

Even with Dantooine back in Republic control, it didn’t look promising. The Republic was still locked out of the Core, with the Sith in control of Coruscant, monitoring all the activities within it’s influence. And Coruscant had a large circumference of influence. This seemed to change, however. For the Sith ruler, Darth Provin had vanished, leaving the Sith to their own destructive device.

To exacerbate the position of the Sith, the Vaskar, led by the Kel Dor Skyu Lon, redeemed Jedi Rogal Natharn, and a small criminal organization, La Commedia, amassed an impressive fleet, which they aimed at Coruscant. The Sith, already in disarray, were forced to amass a fleet to defend the galactic center. In addition, the Mandalorian Clans, Led by Mandalore the Paramount, seeing the state of the Sith, realized the effectiveness of an attack at the time. Hoping to cripple the Sith’s ability to produce massive amounts of ships, they attacked Mon Calamari. The Sith were forced once again to assemble some sort of force, void of a leader, they were unorganized and uncoordinated.

Personality and traits[]

Nathan wasn’t the easiest to get along with. His brash, unrefined speech caused him no end of torment among the dreaded aristocracy Generals were required to make nice with. He was a soldier through and through. Being an ‘outcast’ of the Arkanian race, Nathan was required to quickly grow a tough skin, if he was to come out of his childhood in one piece. Over the years, Nathan had grown much kinder, and had even been humbled. He had a stout, intuitive mind, and a good brain. He was one of the Republic’s best commanders, although you would never here him say that.

On the battlefield, he was a shining light in the grim. He could rouse whole companies of troops into euphoric fervor, and manipulate such glee into a deadly force. His military mind saw a battlefield as a chess board, and like any good chess player, he planed his moves out three steps in advance. So to speak.... He fought ferociously in battle, and was renowned for his brilliant and flashy tactics.

Nathan followed a simple code, the code of honor. The battlefield is the judge’s gavel. It is the ultimate arbiter of the galaxy’s problems. Those met on the field are your equal. A wounded man will say to his assailant 'If I live, I will kill you. If I die, You are forgiven.' Thus is the rule of honor. Nathan believed in this simple code of conduct, and applied it to all aspects of his life. In a galaxy of deceit and politicians, Nathan was a rarity. He was one of the last true warriors.

Talents[]

Nathan was a brilliant tactician and expert marksman. In the military he often was praised for his brilliant shot. His uncanny ability at organizing events of a chaotic battle earned him the praise of his pupils, and the anger of his superiors, who he often spoke out against, revealing the weaknesses in their battle plans. Nathan was also a well spoken man. Intelligent, if not academically, he had an inquisitive mind and an eager soul. He absorbed all that he could. He had a way with words, a unique ability to emphasize the galaxy’s ethos in his speeches.

Nathan also had quite the green thumb. On Naboo, he would tend large gardens of exotic flora that he would import from tropical words like Felucia. He also grew vegetables for his wife, and kept a number of gardens for medicinal herbs, which he would donate to Naboo’s hospitals and pharmacists. This fascination with plants would torment him among his peers. A hardy general of the Republic, a farmer.

Befitting to his military mind, Nathan quite enjoyed the game Dejarik, in which he was very skilled at. He picked the game up while training on Luna-Minor 6, which he quickly grew a liking to. His overseer took notice of Nathan’s interest in the game, and began teaching him the subtle aspects of the game. He likened a game of Dejarik to combat. With every move you learned more of your opponent, and yourself. He took his time playing Dejarik when he was promoted to the battlefield. He likened the battlefield to the game, the troops were your game pieces, and with each move, you showed the enemy a little piece of you.

Nathan was competent in most forms of combat, but excelled in ranged fighting. He specialized in mid-range combat, and, while in the FireGhosts, liked using the more ‘primitive’ slugthrowers because of their obvious advantages over blasters. They provided the measure of stealth that was required by the Ghosts that blasters couldn’t give. Conventional armor was also useless against most blasters, so new armor had to be designed to deflect a blaster bolt. A ‘primitive’ slugthrower ripped right through that new armor.

Behind the scenes[]

Nathan was created for TheStarWarsRP.Com when the Republic was in dire need of competent high ranking individuals. He has yet to finish his story.
