Nasoth Alarin was a Givin male whose family was dedicated to discovering the Ancient Order of the Whills. To that end, he adopted the teachings of both the Jedi and the Sith in order to find them. For a time, he was known as Lord Reaper and was one of twelve Sith Masters in the Sith Order of Darth Sedriss.
Biography[]
Nasoth Alarin was born into a family of Givin that were dedicated to finding the Ancient Order of the Whills. His father, Carvath Alarin, had joined the Jedi Order in the hopes of acquiring the means to delve deeper into the Whills history. However, Carvath perished during the Clone Wars shortly after achieving the rank of Jedi Master, leaving Nasoth to carry his family's task.
Relocating to Jedha, Nasoth joined the Disciples of the Whills and frequently studied the Kyber Temple in the hopes of finding answers. His studies were brought to an abrupt end when the Galactic Empire used the Death Star to destroy the Holy City and Nasoth narrowly escaped the cataclysm. Fleeing to a refuge center, Nasoth ended up joining the secretive Church of the Force and spent many years on Sicemon, where the formative Rebel Alliance provided shelter for them.
During this time, Nasoth met and fell in love with Sladru Nalas, a Givin operative who worked for the Rebel Alliance. Sladru empathized with Nasoth's quest and agreed to help him in anyway he could. After the Battle of Endor, the two were married and set out on their personal mission to find the Whills.
At some point Nasoth came into contact with the aspiring Sith Lady Lysira Naris and decided to join her cause. Becoming one of twelve Sith Masters, he adopted the name Reaper and took on the Quarren Prodd as his apprentice. Ultimately however, Nasoth became neglectful of his duties as a teacher, leading to Prodd joining Varon Krul's secession, and instead invested all of his time in delving into Sith lore, hoping to find a connection to the Whills.
In time, he found one in the form of the Eye of Kaas, an ancient Sith artifact crafted long before the arrival of the Exiles. After Darth Sedriss disbanded her order, Nasoth began posing as the majordomo of Galus Freetaa, the current ruler of the B'omarr palace that had once belonged to Jabba the Hutt. By manipulating both Galus Freetaa and the Marked Sith cult, Nasoth began a convoluted gambit to acquire the Eye of Kaas. When the Marked Ones took Nasoth prisoner after the Tatooine plot failed, his husband Sladru utilized the Snatchers to track down the Eye of Kaas to Ord Talavos, where an auction for it was being held.
After retrieving the Eye, Sladru traveled to Sed'tral where Nasoth had freed himself. However, rather than proceed with their quest, Nasoth instead saw an opportunity to destroy the Sith once and for all with the Eye of Kaas. Despite Sladru's protests, Nasoth followed through with this plan and unleashed the energies of the totem, seemingly perishing along with his husband and the Sith.
