The Nakayama Shogunate was a shogunate on the island Nihon. By 22 BBY, it was led by Shogun Nakayama Kyo, who was the patriarch of the Nakayama Clan. The shogunate and its ruling clan wished to unite all of Nihon as the Empire of Nihon, and because of these goals, they were enemies with the Imperial Faction, whom bordered them from the south.
During the Nihon Civil War, the Nakayama Shogunate fought against the Kishi forces of the Imperial Faction and were supported by the Kanamaru Shogunate, and the Azuma-based Matsura and Tomori Clans, a notion the Hinata Shogunate disapproved of, since the two clans were within the Hideki Shogunate's territory, and the Hinata Clan already supporting the Arima Shogunate.
